Tom Petty is a US rock musician, who is also the leader of the hugely successful band Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Petty first met Stevie Nicks when producer Jimmy Iovine asked him to write a song for her debut solo album Bella Donna, resulting in the hit single Stop Draggin' My Heart Around. Since then they have collaborated many times most notably on the songs I Will Run To You, The Apartment Song, Insider and Needles And Pins. In 2007 Nicks also joined Petty and The Heartbreakers on their US tour to sing the many songs they had recorded together live.
