Stevie Ray Vaughan tragically died on August 27, 1990 in a helicopter accident, having taken the seat that his brother Jimmie Vaughan or some have reported Eric Clapton would have been sitting in. He had a wide range of influences, most notably Lonnie Mack, Albert King, Freddie King, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton & Jimi Hendrix.
Only a handful of blues guitarists have had such an impact on the blues genre.
Change It
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble Lyrics

Can't rearrange it
If time is all that we got
Then baby let's take it
Lovin' is a lovin'
The moment is a-right
It's worth all the years in the past
Get away from the blind side of life
Honey, I want you to be by my side
Me and my back door moves ain't no more
No more
Get away from the blind side of life
Honey, I want you to be by my side
Me and my back door moves ain't no more
No more
Get away from the blind side of life
Honey, I want you to be by my side
Me and my back door moves ain't no more
No more
Goodnight my darlin'
Another day has passed
Forget all those painful memories
Our love's gonna last
Come to me baby
Come to me one more time
It's time we got movin'
Time to move on
Let's slide out the door
Let's slide out the door
Ride our way home
Let's glide our way home
Let's go
Let's go
Let's go
Let's go
Let's go
Let's go
I've come back for more
In the song "Change It," Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble are singing about seizing the moment and cherishing the time they have. The repeated chorus of "You can't change it, can't rearrange it, if time is all that we got then baby let's take it" emphasizes the importance of embracing the present and making the most of their time together. Even though they may have had painful memories in the past, they want to move on and enjoy their love and each other.
The verses of the song express the desire to escape from the negative aspects of life and stay close to the person they love. The line "Get away from the blind side of life, honey I want you to be by my side" shows the need to have their lover close to them to provide comfort and support. The chorus repeats this message of living in the moment and enjoying the time they have together.
Overall, "Change It" is a song about living in the moment and treasuring the time we have with those we love. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble recognize that life can be challenging and painful, but they want to focus on the present and their love for each other.

I co-produced this video. October, 1985. Haven’t looked at it in a long time. A lot of work. But one of the most memorable experiences ever. It was an honor and pleasure to work with SRV. He was not only an extraordinary artist, but also a very kind soul.
@juanbustos6097
He seemed like a really nice and humble guy doesnt he?

Yes, he was

@@gailkramer9876 This songs always makes the hair stand on my neck when I hear it. It has such a fatalist vibe to it.
It's an honor to get to exchange a comment with a guy that met Stevie.
@Dragonette666
my friend's mom worked at the Copland store near where this was shot , in fact I've driven by those buildings numerous times. He claimed SRV drank up all the whiskey in Copland when this was being shot lol

Hendrix was the greatest innovator of electric guitar sounds,but pure playing talent- SRV stands alone on the mountain top. Old enough to have seen all the greats since Hendrix- Clapton, Van Halen,Beck Satriani,Page et.all. Listen closely and watch the ease with which SRV plays the most complex riffs. I've seen him live 4 times and the guy never looked down at his guitar once,allways new where he was without ever looking and never missed a lick. The Goat in my humble opinion. Miiss him so much...
@johnthonig8832
Agreed
@bgwhitney
I'm an old "Garage band" boy from the 60's. I didn't know anything about SRV as we only had local FM radio and he didn't get any airplay. He opened for his brother and when he came out on stage playing Scuttle Buttin' I could have died. That moment changed my life. I have always watched the fretting hand of my heroes to get an idea of how they can do their magic. Stevie's playing eludes me to this day. I now believe he just grabbed on to the neck and the music flowed from his soul. BTW I read that he once broke the neck on his guitar playing with such intensity. I can't verify this but I have no reason to doubt.
@Josecoatl
The vibrations were so awesome the guitar decide to paralyze itself and died blissfully.
