I love all of SRV's gifted playing but these numbers like Lenny illustrate the deeper side of his character and ability.
Such grace and love.

So true 😢. My little brother, may he rest in peace ,saw him Austin City Limits. Woke me up saying "you gotta here this guy!" I was blown away. My little brother spent his allowance on a guitar the next day. He was 12. He was a virtuoso but turned down every band that wanted him. Always said," I just play for myself," Didn't do much cover stuff. Played his own stuff but was very inspired by Stevie, Jimmy Page,Zakk Wylde and Dimebag Darrell . Played Zakk Wylde's In This River at his funeral.

It's one of the most intriguing instrumental I've ever heard, it has so many layers and emotions going on... that tremolo effect is totally giving it a dark, suspicious vibe... and the dynamics are impeccable
Absolutely Incredible, how a human mind can create such compositions just totally amazes me.. I think it's the heart which plays a major part!
