Wonder's single "Fingertips" was a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1963, at the age of 13, making him the youngest artist ever to top the chart. Wonder's critical success was at its peak in the 1970s. His "classic period" began in 1972 with the releases of Music of My Mind and Talking Book, the latter featuring "Superstition", which is one of the most distinctive and famous examples of the sound of the Hohner Clavinet keyboard. His works Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingness' First Finale (1974) and Songs in the Key of Life (1976) all won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, making him the tied-record holder for the most Album of the Year wins, with three. He is also the only artist to have won the award with three consecutive album releases. Wonder began his "commercial period" in the 1980s; he achieved his biggest hits and highest level of fame, had increased album sales, charity participation, high-profile collaborations (including Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson), political impact, and television appearances. Wonder has continued to remain active in music and political causes.
Wonder is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with sales of over 100 million records worldwide. He has won 25 Grammy Awards (the most by a solo artist) and one Academy Award (Best Original Song, for the 1984 film The Woman in Red). Wonder has been inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame. He is also noted for his work as an activist for political causes, including his 1980 campaign to make Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday a federal holiday in the U.S. In 2009, he was named a United Nations Messenger of Peace, and in 2014, he was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Wonder was born Stevland Hardaway Judkins in Saginaw, Michigan, on May 13, 1950, the third of five children born to Lula Mae Hardaway, and the second of Hardaway's two children with Calvin Judkins. He was born six weeks premature which, along with the oxygen-rich atmosphere in the hospital incubator, resulted in retinopathy of prematurity, a condition in which the growth of the eyes is aborted and causes the retinas to detach, so he became blind.
All In Love Is Fair

Love's a crazy game
Two people vow to stay
In love as one they say
But all is changed with time
The future no one can see
The road you leave behind
But all is fair in love
I had to go away
A writer takes his pen
To write the words again
That all in love is fair
All of fate's a chance
It's either good or bad
I tossed my coin to say
In love with me you'd stay
But all in war is so cold
You either win or lose
When all is put away
The losing side I'll play
But all is fair in love
I should never have left your side
A writer takes his pen
To write the words again
That all in love is fair
A writer takes his pen
To write the words again
That all in love is fair
The song "All In Love Is Fair" by Stevie Wonder is a ballad about the unpredictability of love and the ups and downs that come with it. The lyrics suggest that while love can be a wonderful and magical experience, it also has the power to hurt and change individuals. The song starts by stating that love is a "crazy game" and that two people vow to stay together as one. However, the passage of time changes everything and the future is uncertain. The road behind is a memory, but ahead lies a mystery.
The song mentions that all is fair in love and implies that people may take risks and make choices they wouldn't make under different circumstances. The singer is the one who made the choice to leave their loved one and is regretful. The second verse suggests that fate is a chance and it's neither good nor bad. The singer describes how they tossed their coin, and their loved one chose to stay with them. However, the line, "But all in war is so cold, you either win or lose," indicates that Stevie feels that the relationship was a battle and the singer lost. In the end, the singer feels that they made the wrong decision and that they should not have left their loved one behind.

Lost my best friend, soul mate and life love in 12.18.22. It hurts so much. Listening to this song helps me to remember all the good times we experienced. People go a whole lifetime and never finds love. I did. I am eternally grateful for the experience 🙏🏽

Hearrfelt good vibes. Aged 70, twice divorced, 10 years single, thought the love channel was sealed off for good.
Found true love again - feel such gratitude....

This song/ Album was recorded during the period when Stevie was in he early twenties. His vocal range was unbelievable! Everybody was clamoring for his artistic attention. Barbara Streisand, Dionne Warwick, The Ohio Players, The McCreary's, Paul Anka, The Jacksons, Minnie Riperton, and many more wanted him to write and produce. He was a kid in a candy shop with the Tonto Machine. I was 9 years old in Kingston, Jamaica listening to the singles from this album. His music invaded the RJR radio station and made it a different world for me.
