Possessing a unique style of music that combines a creative blend of upbeat roots reggae with the reverberating echoes of dub, comes a man with no limit for his musical abilities. Stick Figure's music is written, recorded, and produced by Scott Woodruff, a young man from Duxbury, MA.
All of Stick Figure's songs are made by recording each instrument separately, layering several tracks on top of one another in unison.
Stick Figure recently relocated to Southern California and has picked up three new members for the live band, Brendan Dane (San Diego) on bass, Todd Smith (San Clemente) on drums and Kevin Bong (San Diego) on keys. All are incredible musicians and are surely a great addition to the Stick Figure sound. The band is currently in the process of recording their first debut album together, expecting to drop this Winter.

The sound is dying
Way in my brain no cocaine
I don’t wanna I don’t wanna go insane
I said now way in my brain no cocaine
I don’t wanna I don’t wanna go insane
Cause my brain oh no
Cause in my brain
Cause in my brain uh oh oh
You wanna find the time when you wake up in the morning
Everything is going fine till you catch yourself your snorting
The thing that brings the most the power to your soul
You want to stay together but you can’t trust him... I know
The sun is shining
The sound is dying
The music’s stopping
The sound is dying
I don’t need to cocaine to be messing up my brain
I don’t need no, messing up my brain
I don’t need to cocaine to be messing up my brain
I don’t need no
Don’t give me the rock, don’t give me the crack,
(give me the) sensi (repeat) vvvvvvv
In Stick Figure's song Ring the Alarm, the lyrics explore the destructive nature of cocaine addiction. The first verse opens with a paradoxical image of a sunny day being clouded by the "dying" sound, creating a haunting atmosphere. The next lines express the singer's refusal to succumb to the temptation of cocaine and to maintain their sanity. They clearly state that they do not want to go insane because of the drug. The repetition of "in my brain" serves to emphasize the danger the substance poses to one's mental health. As the verse progresses, the singer urges listeners to recognize that cocaine addiction is a slippery slope and that self-control is essential to avoid falling into it.
The second verse begins with the phrase "you wanna find the time," which could be perceived as addressing the listener, asking them to reflect on the cause of their addiction. The lyrics suggest that the drug is powerful and consuming enough to overpower a person's willpower and trustworthiness, thereby breaking relationships. The chorus is repeated after the second verse, and by the end of the song, the singer challenges the concept that cocaine is a necessary component to enjoy life. The lyrics are a call to action to wake up to the destructive nature of substance abuse before it is too late.
