Beginning to Blue
Still Corners Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Can't hold my breathing for long
Oh my, we're beginning to blue, oh
Oh my, we're beginning to blue, oh
A wild shake cannot wake us up
Do believe that it's done
Oh my, we're beginning to blue, oh
Oh my, we're beginning to blue, oh
Baby blue, has the light gone out?
Baby blue, ahh
Your eyes are deeper than the oceans go
Tell me love, is there hope?
Oh my, we're beginning to blue, oh
Oh my, we're beginning to blue, oh
Oh my, we're beginning to blue, oh
Oh my, we're beginning to blue, oh
The lyrics to "Beginning to Blue" by Still Corners capture the feeling of being emotionally overwhelmed and on the brink of despair. The opening lines allude to a night that has become too deep, which could be seen as a metaphor for sinking into sadness. The singer is struggling to keep breathing, a physical manifestation of the emotional burden they are carrying. The repeated refrain "Oh my, we're beginning to blue" serves as an acknowledgement that they are close to falling apart. The image of a "wild shake" that cannot wake them up underscores the sense of helplessness they feel in the face of their emotions.
The second verse brings in the element of a relationship. The singer addresses their partner as "baby blue" and wonders if the light has gone out for them. The deeper-than-oceans eyes suggest that the partner is carrying their own emotional burden, but the singer is uncertain if they can offer hope or support. The repeated refrain takes on a sense of urgency as the singer implores for reassurance. Overall, the lyrics convey a feeling of being adrift in a sea of emotions, uncertain of what the future holds.

Such great music, each song has its place in my day as it evolves. Remaster has such a cold sound I like polished, it has been beautifully polished up like turquoise or an agate that was already beautiful when created.🖤🖤💙💜❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
