Endless Summer
Still Corners Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
It pulls us in
Close to end of time (aaah)
Can we begin?
Lookin' through, to your eyes (aaah)
Follow, follow, follow, follow
Aaah, aaah, aaah
We are out of tune (aaah)
But feels so right
Tide will be in soon (aaah)
This soft and light
Summer ends soon (aaah)
Follow, follow, follow, follow
Oooh, oooh, oooh
The song "Endless Summer" by Still Corners is a beautifully meditative, dreamy track that explores themes of nostalgia, longing, and the fleeting nature of time. The lyrics suggest a sense of being pulled in by the irresistible force of the tide, and a desire to begin anew, to look into the eyes of someone and find a connection that can transcend the inevitable passage of time. The repetition of the word "follow" in the chorus seems to reinforce this idea of movement, of a journey that may be uncertain but is still worth pursuing.
The opening lines, "Listen to the tide, it pulls us in / Close to the end of time, can we begin?" immediately sets the tone for the rest of the song. The imagery of the tide as a powerful, natural force that can both push and pull us is a recurring motif throughout, and the idea of "the end of time" suggests a kind of existential urgency, as if we are racing against the clock to find meaning and purpose in our lives. The next line, "Lookin' through, to your eyes" creates a sense of intimacy and vulnerability, as if the singer is sharing a moment of deep connection with someone else.
The rest of the lyrics continue in this vein, with references to being "out of tune" but feeling like it's "so right", to the approaching end of summer and the inevitability of the tide's return. Overall, the song is a gorgeously wistful meditation on the passage of time and the importance of making meaningful connections in the face of that impermanence.

Breathtakingly beautiful song. Its Bands like this that should be top of the charts making millions not the drivel that's constantly pumped through the tv, radio and mtv. I hope this band does well they deserve it. Sheer class
