Talk
Stone Sour Lyrics

Who's completely out of his mind
You see, he lives alone and everyday he wakes up and there's no one there
Then he gets out of his bed and walks around his house calling out "Hello?"
As if someone had been squatting in his closet that day
But then... He gets hysterical and runs outside and starts screaming like Charlton Heston in "Omega Man" Until someone comes outside and tells him to "Shut Up!"
Then he smiles and laughs and does a little dance as he struts inside confident that he's not the last man on earth
He... He does this everyday. W-What the fuck is wrong with people?
The lyrics of Stone Sour's song "Talk" describe a man who is detached from reality and is living alone on Butler Street. The man wakes up every day to find that there is no one around, and he starts frantically searching his house, calling out for someone who might be hiding in his closet. He eventually becomes hysterical and runs outside, screaming and acting like a character from the movie "Omega Man" until someone tells him to quiet down. However, after this encounter, he becomes happy and confident and struts back inside, relieved that he is not the last person on Earth.
The lyrics of the song can be interpreted in several ways. One interpretation is that the man on Butler Street is struggling with mental illness and is experiencing hallucinations, leading him to believe that someone is hiding in his closet. The repetition of his behavior every day could signify that he is stuck in a cycle of delusion and is unable to break free from it. Alternatively, the man could represent the larger societal issue of mental illness and how it is often neglected and ignored.
