Stonebwoy released his first radio track βMakumaβ (My Heart) in his second year at Senior High School and several others later that same year. By his third year, he had acquired himself a stable underground popularity and was thereby able to release another track titled βEmpressβ which held him up even after leaving school in 2007. After that, things have happened in quick succession and Stonebwoy started work with S24 studios, the studio responsible for hits from artists such as Samini, Tic Tac, Kwaw Kese, Okomfuor Kwaade, Afro Moses, Buk Bak to name a few. There he met Samini in 2008 and clicked.
Stonebwoy has been building up his repetoire of major artists that he has shared stages with and the 30th December 2011 show at the Accra International Conference Centre, The Dome was no different. Stonebwoy performed at the βResolution 2012β put together by Badhabbits Entertainment which hosted Ghanaian artists such as Black Prophet, Eazzy, Edem, Castro, Iwan, Jupiter, Kaakie, Samini and Sonniballi and featured International acts such as Kiprich and Busy Signal.
Prior to Stonebwoyβs album launch, three new singles featuring Irene Logan βGhetto Loveβ, Edem βAbove The Skyβ and Tinny βOnumadΓ©β received and are still receiving a lot of airplay, not just in Ghana but in Europe, especially in Italy and Spain as well. Under the management of Samini Music, Stonebwoy released his much awaited debut album called βGrade #1β² on 6th March 2012 to coincide with Ghanaβs 56th Independence Day and his birthday weekend. Along with the most played track Climax, some of the other tracks on the album include the popular Rat Race, Rudegyal, Pullback, Crazy and more.
Stonebwoy brands himself as the βPrince of African Dancehallβ and goes with a baritone music descant β βBHIIMβ β which has gradually caught the lips of most of his fans in Ghana and beyond. With his first album βGrade #1β² to his credit, he is looking forward to climbing international stages and handling other music projects with all acts across the globe.
He connected with Jamaicaβs Karamanti in August 2012 and featured her on his song X-Factor which is currently being played on Jamaican radio and other stations in the Caribbean.

The song "Go Higher" by Stonebwoy is a motivational song about perseverance and faith in oneself. In the song, he sings about how people may try to bring him down, but he remains focused and determined to succeed. He encourages his listeners to do the same, to pray for success and not to let negativity discourage them.
The first verse begins with Stonebwoy acknowledging the people who are plotting against him, who he refers to as "susupon" (meaning gossipers or haters). He then tells his listeners that they too will face similar challenges, but they should not let it phase them. He continues to emphasize the importance of faith and prayer, saying that he prays for success as he continues to face obstacles thrown his way.
In the second verse, Stonebwoy talks about the importance of being self-reliant and not relying on others for help. He encourages his listeners to be careful of who they befriend because some may turn out to be informers who only seek to use them. He also talks about counting money in dollars and being blessed by God, not having to beg for food.
The chorus repeats the message about praying for success and not letting obstacles discourage oneself. Stonebwoy says that as he goes higher, people will continue to throw fire at him, but his faith in God will keep him going. He then concludes the song with the same message, reminding his listeners that they too will face challenges but must continue to pray for success.
