Stonebwoy released his first radio track βMakumaβ (My Heart) in his second year at Senior High School and several others later that same year. By his third year, he had acquired himself a stable underground popularity and was thereby able to release another track titled βEmpressβ which held him up even after leaving school in 2007. After that, things have happened in quick succession and Stonebwoy started work with S24 studios, the studio responsible for hits from artists such as Samini, Tic Tac, Kwaw Kese, Okomfuor Kwaade, Afro Moses, Buk Bak to name a few. There he met Samini in 2008 and clicked.
Stonebwoy has been building up his repetoire of major artists that he has shared stages with and the 30th December 2011 show at the Accra International Conference Centre, The Dome was no different. Stonebwoy performed at the βResolution 2012β put together by Badhabbits Entertainment which hosted Ghanaian artists such as Black Prophet, Eazzy, Edem, Castro, Iwan, Jupiter, Kaakie, Samini and Sonniballi and featured International acts such as Kiprich and Busy Signal.
Prior to Stonebwoyβs album launch, three new singles featuring Irene Logan βGhetto Loveβ, Edem βAbove The Skyβ and Tinny βOnumadΓ©β received and are still receiving a lot of airplay, not just in Ghana but in Europe, especially in Italy and Spain as well. Under the management of Samini Music, Stonebwoy released his much awaited debut album called βGrade #1β² on 6th March 2012 to coincide with Ghanaβs 56th Independence Day and his birthday weekend. Along with the most played track Climax, some of the other tracks on the album include the popular Rat Race, Rudegyal, Pullback, Crazy and more.
Stonebwoy brands himself as the βPrince of African Dancehallβ and goes with a baritone music descant β βBHIIMβ β which has gradually caught the lips of most of his fans in Ghana and beyond. With his first album βGrade #1β² to his credit, he is looking forward to climbing international stages and handling other music projects with all acts across the globe.
He connected with Jamaicaβs Karamanti in August 2012 and featured her on his song X-Factor which is currently being played on Jamaican radio and other stations in the Caribbean.

The song Jungle by Stonebwoy is a love song with a unique blend of reggae and Afrobeat rhythms. The song starts by highlighting the artist's popularity and how some people are trying to find him although he is not on the map. Stonebwoy then sings about his lover and how he cannot find his way out of her jungle, emphasizing how lost he is in his lover's love. He speaks about how his lover's love is unique and different from what others sell in the town. The chorus focuses on Stonebwoy's confusion, which seems to stem from the love he feels for his lover. The second verse of the song is about how Stonebwoy's parents talk to him, urging him to listen to them; however, Stonebwoy is not willing to listen. In the later part of the song, Stonebwoy chants as he pleads with his lover to continue making him happy and to stay with him forever.
In summary, the song Jungle has a catchy beat distilled with thoughtful lyrics expressing an uncontainable love that Stonebwoy has for a woman. Although it speaks about finding oneself lost in the jungle of his lover's love, Stonebwoy uses metaphors and musical arrangements to reveal his unique personality and musical talent.
