My mom use to sing this delightful song when I was youngster when she either was washing the dishes or family socials.
I never heard ever this before on the radio but somehow she did! I heard this song for the first time today.
listening to the Parkway Records oldies collection on YouTube I just burst into tears of joy. She really had lot of fun singing these ditties around the house. Now I have the touch of the memories she enjoyed doing.

"Voon-Voon-Voon"! Heard this on a "Collectors' Oldies" radio show here in Boston 30 years ago and still remember it. Cameo-Parkway recorded just about everything in Philly that moved in the "Bandstand" era (though there were other labels in town).

I think it for the first time on WMEX with "Woo Woo" when I was a kid.

It was April, 1958 in St. Louis,Mo. I rode a Cushman motor scooter. Her name was Diann Curd. I was 15; she was 14. We still keep in touch even though I live 1,800 miles away in Los Angeles, CA. Diann recently mailed me this 45 RPM with the Cameo Orange label. I am so happy to have found the recording here.

Wow. I was 14 in '58. These records make me feel young. There was a car song that had lyrics something like:" I've 4 carburetors and an automatic drive, just tearing down Main doing 105". Can you identify it? Thanks.

Could you possibly be thinking of Nervous Norvus's notorious (and hilarious) song, "Transfusion"?

I wonder if this was the first appearance of the legendary sax player Buddy Savitt?

RobbofSOCAL

Yes, it was.

Please, I am looking for an early 45 from the 50s, having to do with "the crazy new game called Grapevine." It is a very rock-and-roll song having to do with teens spreading info and rumors over the phone. The song starts out with the sound of an old-style busy signal and the words this - is - grape - vine. Then the music begins. Would love to find the real title and artist name, and ultimately see it in these wonderful collections.
