Through the door I heard it all
But you didn't even have a clue
Now I know what you've been hiding
What goes around come back to you
All these times you've been faking
Won't you tell me what is all about
You can tell we can work it out
Now I'm done keep on walking
'cause you know I had it all before
Everything you've been saying
You sound it like you did before
So so la la
I couldn't figure out a word you say
So so la la
I couldn't figure out a word you say
So so la la
I found a trace in a paper
Black and white for me to see
But I never really had it done
It's too late for all these talking
'cause I can't hear you anyway
All these times you been faking
Won't you tell me what is all about
If only I could read your mind
You can tell we can work it out
Now I'm done keep on walking
'cause you know I heard it all before
Everything you've been saying
You sound it like you did before
So so la la
I couldn't figure out a word you say
So so la la
I couldn't figure out a word you say
So so la la
The lyrics of Strange Talk's song So So La La reflect a situation of betrayal and lost communication in a relationship. The singer of the song has overheard their partner's conversations and discovered their hidden secrets, which leads to a breakdown in trust and understanding. The repetition of the phrase "So so la la" could be interpreted as a metaphor for the confusion and ambiguity that the singer feels in their attempt to make sense of their partner's behavior and words. The chorus also suggests a sense of resignation, as the singer realizes that their attempts to fix the relationship are in vain.
The lyrics convey a feeling of frustration and desperation, as the singer struggles to communicate with their partner and understand their true intentions. They long for clarity and honesty but are ultimately let down by the other person's actions. The verse "All these times you've been faking / Won't you tell me what it's all about / If only I could read your mind / You can tell we can work it out" highlights this desire for open communication and the hope that the relationship can still be salvaged.
Overall, So So La La is a powerful depiction of the breakdown of trust and communication in a relationship. The lyrics are full of emotion and the repetition of the phrase "So so la la" adds to the overall sense of confusion and frustration.
