This female-fronted troupe weaves catchy tunes and thoughtful instrumentation through the evocative vocal melodies of songwriter Emi Knight. Her powerful and poignant lyrics conjure detailed portraitures of her experience growing up in a rural town in the Ohio River Valley. She often tackles deeply personal issues of family trauma and abuse. Her willingness to share these dark experiences and transform them into defiant and poetic moments of growth is contagious, and draws listeners deeper as they find themselves reflected in these innately human stories. However, you might not catch the captivating authenticity and vulnerability found in the lyrics at first listen because, at heart Strawberry Runners are suckers for sick pop tunes, and hooky melodies.

Thanks so much for keeping it short, simple, and giving us the basic 3-4 bottom line things we need to know!

@We Heart Did it have roots? Was the soil super damp?

@The Ripe Tomato Farms I just cut off a runner this weekend and planted it just like you showed in the video. The plant pretty much looks like it shrivel's up and dies within a couple hours of me doing it. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Your video was such a big help. I was going off the few vague memories of my Dad’s & all I knew was to cut the runners. You’ve helped fill in the gaps of how to grow them.
Cheers, from Australia
I started growing them by accident. How they’d actually grew after the torture they’d been through was amazing to me: I put fresh strawberries into one of those Nutri bullet drinks, with other frozen berries, fruit & yogurt, then leave it in the fridge. I’d rinse the mix cup & pour it over the garden, then months later, I found 2x strawberry plants & the fruit was perfect! I’m glad it wasn’t a blackberry bush.

Great video! I'm brand new to strawberry planting and had lots questions about the runners (including what they are called! 😂). You answered them all for me in your video!! Very helpful! Thank you!! 🖤🍓🖤🍓

Brilliant video answered my question about what to do with the runners and when to move them to pots for next season. My first year growing strawberries so lot of things to work out but this is a great starting point. Thanks
