All In Your Mind
Stray Lyrics

Look inside your head and find a way deep inside and it's all in your mind
It's all in your mind
It's all in your mind
Revolution, air pollution, Chairman Mao Tse Tung is in your mind
"But he's dead pal... He's not very well anyway..."
Love's a dream and it's all in your mind
Segregation, preservation, politicians all are in your mind
Pewter suta, Karma Sutra, even Blanckenheimer's in your mind
Yes...
It's all in your mind
It's all in your mind
The lyrics to Stray's song All In Your Mind speak about the idea that everything we perceive is a projection of our mind. The chorus repeats twice with the simple message that everything that we see or believe is all in our mind. The lyrics are essentially telling us to look within ourselves to find the answers we seek. The first verse of the song gives an impression that the message is both warning and encouraging us to delve into our own thoughts to find the answers.
The second verse of the song begins with the word "revolution." This word suggests a change and a new way of thinking, and the following words like air, pollution, and the Chairman Mao Tse Tung, describe the changes that are happening in the world. These changes are all around us, but it is up to us how we react to them. Similarly, the following lines suggest that love is also a creation of our minds. The world needs love, but it is up to us to create it in our minds, to feel it and to act upon it. The last few lines mention various things, like politicians, pewter suta, karma suta, and even Blanckenheimer's, which are all creations of our own psyche.
In conclusion, the lyrics to Stray's song All In Your Mind are telling us to be mindful of our thoughts and perceptions. The world we perceive is simply a projection of our mind, and if we look within ourselves, we can find the answers to what we seek.

I wanted to check out this original version after many years of listening to Iron Maiden's version. I don't like comparing the originals to the cover versions, but I have to say I think this version is awesome. So much power in the performance. No wonder Maiden decided to cover it....f'kin classic song this!!! \m/

Saw Stray many times around 1969/70 they were by far the best live band I ever saw when I was a young 16 year old. I was so into the atmosphere they created, so exciting. A pity they could never achieve that feeling on an album!
