2. Structures are a post-rock band from Tamworth, UK. (we’re moving over to Structures (UK) so that people who’re wanting to listen to our particular brand of post-rock aren’t bombarded by the prog metal leanings of Structures (Canada) and vice versa…I’m sure both our fans and theirs will be happy about this. ”Together we are omnipresent, post-rock, white noise, stoner, electonic, glitch, sound, soundscapes, non-scapes, silence, visuals, avant garde, ourselves. Together we stand to make a statement. Together we push the boundries a little further. No compromise.” http://www.structuresband.co.uk/
Structures UK has changed its tags to Structures (UK) to avoid confusion, http://www.last.fm/music/+noredirect/Structures+%28UK%29)

Departure
Structures Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Our lives will be our safe place
where every instant of love will be with me,
forever with me.
Every memory ends with me, it can't be forgotten.
We've been waiting for everything,
and it stays with me, makes me feel anything.
The lyrics to Structures' song Departure capture a sense of hope and determination for a brighter future. The opening line "This time, we'll reach for the sky" suggests a sense of ambition and possibility, as the singer sets their sights high and imagines a future free from the challenges and obstacles of the present. They describe their lives as a "safe place" where every moment of love will be cherished and held onto forever.
The second stanza reveals a sense of nostalgia and reflection, as the singer acknowledges that every memory ends with them and cannot be forgotten. Despite this, they have been waiting and hoping for something better, and the promise of that future "stays with me, makes me feel anything." The final line "One day we'll rest our heads, and you will see" suggests a sense of peace and contentment to come, as if the hard work and struggle of the present is leading towards a satisfying conclusion.
Overall, the lyrics of Departure offer a sense of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. The singer is determined to reach higher and treasure the love in their life, even as they grapple with difficult memories and uncertain futures.

This time, we'll reach for the sky.
We aim to go beyond what seems possible and achieve great things.
Our lives will be our safe place
We want to find peace and security within the life we create for ourselves.
where every instant of love will be with me,
We want to treasure and hold onto every moment of love we experience.
forever with me.
We want these cherished moments of love to stay with us for the long haul.
Every memory ends with me, it can't be forgotten.
Even though memories will fade or eventually be lost, we still hold onto them and they will always be a part of us.
We've been waiting for everything,
We have been searching and longing for a sense of fulfillment and purpose in life.
and it stays with me, makes me feel anything.
When we find that sense of purpose or fulfillment, it brings with it a range of emotions and empowers us.
One day we'll rest our heads, and you will see.
Eventually, our journey will come to an end and those around us will see the impact we made along the way.
