2. Structures are a post-rock band from Tamworth, UK. (we’re moving over to Structures (UK) so that people who’re wanting to listen to our particular brand of post-rock aren’t bombarded by the prog metal leanings of Structures (Canada) and vice versa…I’m sure both our fans and theirs will be happy about this. ”Together we are omnipresent, post-rock, white noise, stoner, electonic, glitch, sound, soundscapes, non-scapes, silence, visuals, avant garde, ourselves. Together we stand to make a statement. Together we push the boundries a little further. No compromise.” http://www.structuresband.co.uk/
Structures UK has changed its tags to Structures (UK) to avoid confusion, http://www.last.fm/music/+noredirect/Structures+%28UK%29)

Structures Lyrics

And when the ground cracks beneath your feet
You will find the only thing that's left is peace of mind
Or any other fucking kind
I've been reciting this with an imminent gaze
And no I don't know if you've got it in you but life will be the fucking death of me
This is all just a repetition
Lay down the foundation and where you wish to be
I promise that it won't be the place you'll find me
Get ready for the calm, before the storm
Buried beneath the walls, get ready for the calm I say
Have you seen the things that we've been seeing?
Our lives are nothing but a means to an end
Have you seen what I've seen?
Get ready, buried beneath the walls
Today resigns the peace through our decisions
This is a calling to arms
We cannot face our decisions in favor of you
This is a calling to arms
We cannot face our decisions
Don't you think it's time to go home?
You're always running from it
This is what it feels to be torn
But death will beat you to it
Don't you think it's time to go home?
This is what it feels to be torn
And this is how it is
I bet You never saw this coming
The song "Encounter" by Structures gives a glimpse of the fleeting nature of human life and encourages listeners to make the best of their time on earth by bringing positive change. The opening lines of the song suggest that our time on earth is finite, and nothing but a means to an end. The next few lines paint a picture of chaos and turmoil, with the ground cracking beneath the feet. In such situations, the only thing that can bring peace or any other kind of comfort is being prepared and having a solid mindset.
The song then takes a more personal turn, with the singer admitting that life is hard and is slowly taking them down. However, the singer encourages listeners to make a change in their lives, to be the change they wish to see in the world. They remind the audience that laying a foundation for a better tomorrow will yield more fulfilling and positive outcomes. The song ends with a call to arms, urging everyone to make decisions that positively impact society.
Overall, the song "Encounter" is an ode to human resilience, to our unending ability to keep moving forward after setbacks. It highlights the importance of mindfulness and making positive choices that ensure our short time on earth is spent in a fulfilling manner.

Very well said. I say a "true fan" would appreciate the progress and improvement of this song from the original version. I like their old EP but holy shit Divided By is one of the greatest CDs I've ever listened to.
