2. Structures are a post-rock band from Tamworth, UK. (we’re moving over to Structures (UK) so that people who’re wanting to listen to our particular brand of post-rock aren’t bombarded by the prog metal leanings of Structures (Canada) and vice versa…I’m sure both our fans and theirs will be happy about this. ”Together we are omnipresent, post-rock, white noise, stoner, electonic, glitch, sound, soundscapes, non-scapes, silence, visuals, avant garde, ourselves. Together we stand to make a statement. Together we push the boundries a little further. No compromise.” http://www.structuresband.co.uk/
Structures UK has changed its tags to Structures (UK) to avoid confusion, http://www.last.fm/music/+noredirect/Structures+%28UK%29)

In Pursuit Of
Structures Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm seeing picture perfect lines.
Now breathe in the masses, a carrier in our feat of tired dreams.
Gravity holds us to a stand still.
Look for the better signs;
we're all in pursuit of this time.
looking back into absence.
And I'll stop running from what never chases me,
when you keep your hands where everyone can see.
What's become of this place we once loved?
They said it was coming.
Oh fuck, this is just my luck.
We've all paid the fucking price.
They said it was coming,
oh my god, now here it comes.
Tides never brought the change we all thought that they would bring.
Now set the sky aflame.
So tell me, are you gonna make a decision that you'll regret years from now?
When you keep your hands where everyone can see
but what's become of this place we once loved.
You can back into absence.
So bite your fucking tongue,
cause your out of control this time.
Now let me teach you a thing or two about life.
We've all paid the fucking price.
What's become of this place we once loved?
What has happened to this place that we once loved?
Now here it comes...
The song "In Pursuit Of" by Structures is a reflective piece that delves into the intricacies of life and the pursuit of happiness. The opening lines speak of seeing "picture perfect lines" after traveling the skies, indicating a sense of awe and wonder at the world we live in. The next lines mention "breathing in the masses," which can be interpreted as a metaphorical reference to taking in the experiences of life in pursuit of our dreams.
The chorus speaks of the difficulty of pursuing our desires in a world that is held back by gravity - a powerful force that keeps us all in check. The lyrics urge us to look for the "better signs" amidst the chaos of life, suggesting that despite the challenges we face, there is always hope for a better tomorrow.
As the song progresses, it takes on a darker tone, questioning the state of the world we live in and the consequences of our actions. The lines "what's become of this place we once loved?" and "we've all paid the fucking price" speak to a sense of disillusionment with the state of the world, while the line "tides never brought the change we all thought they would bring" suggests that change is often slow to come.
