Hi boys, how about a video about the xRF machine and a little bit about how it does what it does I am pretty sure your viewers would love to know especially on some of your latest high grade finds. It is always a Yes, when the results come back really awesome. Always prospecting is after the desk research a matter of getting your butt off the chair walking and climbing hills looking for mineral and you boys do that really well.

Be real interested to see what the XRF and assay results are. The upper creek area area looked really promising and the black in the quartz, like to know what that is. Also be interested in taking some soil samples from the bank there to see if there’s any placer deposits from the weathered bedrock.

Very informative and helpful, went out for first time in Colorado and found placer gold, and prospecting hard rock for the heck of it and found some interesting places. Love the videos

Nothing bad about a little desiminated iron pyrite...was that one huge washout or several, you think?...rocks strewn about, bark stripped from massive trees...amazing....insanely....

I was told XRF dosent analyse precious metal content of rocks, won’t work

It will analyze whatever metal suite it set up for. This one does all precious and about 60 other metals. Wouldn't be worth getting an XRF for mineral exploration if it couldn't do precious and base.

911 Mining & Prospecting really? I work in mineral exploration (still very early career so I’m not an expert) but the senior geos don’t analyse for gold using XRF, can’t remember exactly why but to do with the high atomic mass. That’s handheld, apparently digestion then analysis works and so does XRF to analyse gold content of alloys ect. They do handheld on soil samples ect still but for bulk rock geochem and other indicators rather than direct measure of gold content

Theres several modes you can set an XRF on as well like factory, geochemical etc..., what we generally would do is send in a sample with anything that is a good or high XRF and do some sort of lab analysis. There are things that can skew a gold result but only a few elements and if they are high. For instance zinc may skew the results so if it has high grade zinc and gold on an XRF it may not be the case. When few elements show up at low grades other than say iton and gold you know golds going to be dead on to match the XRF. We always follow up with a second lab analysis we mainly use it to eliminate 90% of lab costs. For instance one of our properties we have pulled 894 samples. Our lab costs would be astronomical to send those all in instead we have narrowed it down to about 30 which need to be analyzed by the lab. Also having lab results means you can calibrate the XRF to each specific deposit or area to each sample so its accurate.
