I Found Love
Styrofoam Sarah Shannon Lyrics

But I found love, never even crossed my mind
I found love, had a garden never weeded it
But I found love, took an apple just in time
I found love in the fall and it did not hurt at all
I found sunlight and flowers, soft summer showers
I can feel my heart touch my Adams apple
There is a lightness, politeness, fingers tingle, tootsies tap
till dawn comes and finds me never in my bed
I found love, didn't even know I needed it
But I found love, never even crossed my mind
I found love in the spring and I did not lose a thing
I found love in the fall and it did not hurt at all
I found sunlight and flowers, soft summer showers.
I can feel my heart touch my Adams apple
I can feel the feather in my head
There is a lightness, politeness, fingers tingle, tootsies tap
till dawn comes and finds me never in my bed
Had a garden never weeded it
But I found love
Took an apple just in time
I found love in this world and my heart strings just unfurled
I found love in the spring and I did not lose a thing
I found love in the fall and it did not hurt at all
I found love in this world and my heart strings just unfurled
I found love in the spring and I did not lose a thing.
The song "I Found Love" by Styrofoam and Sarah Shannon is a beautiful ode to the unexpected discovery of love. The lyrics convey the idea that love is something we don't always know we need, and it can sneak up on us when we least expect it. The singer describes their experience of finding love, using metaphors such as a garden that was never tended to and an apple that was picked at just the right time. The imagery suggests that love is something that requires attention and care, but it's worth the effort when it blossoms.
The verse "I can feel my heart touch my Adams apple, I can feel the feather in my head" is particularly striking. It suggests that the singer is experiencing overwhelming emotions associated with falling in love. Their heart is beating so strongly that they can feel it in their throat, and their mind is filled with the soft, gentle feeling of a feather. The use of sensory imagery is powerful, inviting the listener to experience the same emotions as the singer in discovering love.
Overall, "I Found Love" is a touching and evocative song about the beauty of love and the unexpected ways it can present itself in our lives. It's a reminder to keep our hearts open and be receptive to the joys it can bring.

First heard this in Fopp (top of Charing Cross Rd, London, turn right 30 yds down). Bought the album on the spot. This is my favourite track. Love Fee Design and their harmonies/melodies. Seem to remember browsing through latest offer CD’s when this came on and being stopped in my tracks in utter awe at what I was listening to. Quite obviously my sort of music. Highly recommended.
