Was no good at all,
Such a waster.
And suddenly I was
Out of the cool,
Stuck with the fools.
Not that much I can do,
I'm out of the crew.
What should I do,
Stuck to this chair?
And yet I know
Gotta break away
It's not my style.
I gotta get away
Here and now today.
Cut in half, I'm already there,
In my head I know it,
Five, no four more steps,
Take me to the door,
Open up I'm falling.
One of those days
Where the lights go out,
And yet I smile.
Gotta break away,
Life's like that and
I gotta get away
Here and now today
Gotta break away
Break away, break away
Get away,
Here and now today.
Here I am as I stand,
I can feel you think,
"Such a waster."
It's okay, I don't care
Didn't wanna stay stuck
With the fools.
Skating down Park Avenue,
I realise my time is now and here
Ready to go,
Being sensible is just not sensible.
Gotta break away
It's not my style,
And I gotta get away
Here and now today.
Gotta break away
Life's like that,
And I gotta get away (Get away)
Bring it all the way,
Gotta break away
It's not my style,
And I gotta get away
Here and now today.
Gotta break away
Life's like that
And I gotta get away (Get away)
Bring it all the way.
The lyrics of Subdigitals' song, Break Away, seem to speak to someone who has been told that they are not good enough or that they do not fit in with a particular group. It describes a feeling of isolation and being stuck with people who they do not want to be around, possibly because they do not share common interests or ideals. The lyrics reflect the struggle of wanting to break free from this situation and be true to oneself, even if it means going against the norm.
The chorus of the song reinforces this desire to break away and be free. It is not the singer's style to conform or be stuck in a situation they do not want to be in. They want to get away, here and now today. The second verse further illustrates their inner turmoil, feeling as though they are already cut in half and trying to make their way to the door. The line "Being sensible is just not sensible" perhaps suggests that being logical and rational may not always be the best course of action in order to achieve personal fulfillment.
Overall, the lyrics of "Break Away" are empowering and motivational, urging the listener to take control of their own life and not be held back by the expectations or opinions of others.

So I kind of just realized, they actually remembered to include the line “Being sensible is just not sensible,” after William used it, and said he heard it from the Subdigitals. Such a great easter egg. Plus, this is totally the song William would identify with. I love this show.
@XaviMD3KB
I though i was the only one who though that.
@dolnyslazak4721
For me it seems like it's more about every Lyoko warrior, especially Jeremy, and much less about William
@thaddeuscramer2312
@Dolny Ślązak In the show William literally says the line and I think Yumi points out it’s from The Subdigitals
