The lyrics to Suede’s song "Moving" are cryptic and somewhat abstract, while also being open to interpretation. The first few lines imply that the singer has some sort of inner ‘beast’ or darkness within them, and they feel shame for it. However, there is also a sense of pride in being able to carry this inner turmoil and to successfully live with it. The following lines are directed towards a girl, highlighting her physical beauty and perhaps touching on a bit of jealousy.
