Thanks for another great, informative video Josh. I already saw your 2018 LA downtown video. It inspired our family to choose DTLA as a base for our 5 days in LA in November 2018. Definitely one of the best travel advice we were ever given. We visited nearly all attractions you mentioned in that 2018 video like Last Bookstore, Bradbury Building , Broad, Grammy museum or City Hall with impecable views of DTLA including Walt Disney Concert Hall etc. Of course we did not miss heavenly tacos in Guisados and ramen in Daikokuya.

Back to your current LA video, I think its worth of mentioning - Staples Center. As a foreigners we really enjoyed Los Angeles Kings ice hockey match at Staples as well as surrounding area of LA live. Next - Battleship Iowa - must for history fans. Great ship, great staff. Very knowledgeable veterans/docents. And last but not least -The Grove and The Original Farmers Market. Nice spot to get some snack (i.e. Bobs doughnuts) after visiting nearby museums (Petersen Automotive, Lacma and Tar Pits)

Speaking of Malibu, we were lucky to visit the MASH site roughly one week before 2018 fire at the Malibu Creek State Park. Nice walk, worth of effort, goose bump experience as we are great fans of TV series and our personal top three highlight of our three weeks California trip.

Be careful when going to these places as some are ridiculously price and could go somewhere absolutely better to get something.
Tip when visiting: TRY LOCAL THINGS RATHER THAN TOURIST ATTRACTION SOMETIMES
This allows you to actually experience LA rather than the tourist attractions we have which a number of other states carry.

Beaches:
Malibu:
There are many beaches along the Pacific Coastline where you can park climb down some rocks and enjoy the beach!
One of my fav things to do: I recommend the Getty Villa, by bus, and going right across the street to have a picnic by the beach.

Palos Verdes:
It’s a hiking trail down to a beautiful beach, and about >5 minutes away the beautiful Wayfarer Chapel with some of the most breathtaking views of the ocean.

Architecture:
Heritage Square Museum :Victorian houses
The Gamble House
Holly Hock House
Schindler Studio
Going through Downtown LA and seeing a lot of the famous things there (Bradbury Building (my favorite), top of the City Hall (free view of the city to the public), Walt Disney Concert Hall, etc)
Taking a drive up the hills of Monterrey park and looking at the houses.

Going through East Los Angeles to get some of the most delicious Asian food.

I visited my dream city - LA in January of 2020 before the virus. It was the most amazing experience. Once this lockdown is over i'm going back. It really felt like home.

We visited Malibu and ended up in Point Dume and we were all the way at the top of the cliff and had to make our way down! I'm so scared of heights but my god it wad an experience 🤣

In N Out was amazing too. I really hope we get branches in the UK. Best burger i ate in LA.

As a southern California native, and someone that lives in orange county, and loves to visit LA, I would highly recommend getting to know the public transportation system, which is awesome. Most of the places that you have recommended, are available, within walking distance of a metro station. On the weekend, you can take Metrolink and metro for $10. I believe you need to take metro link to get the $10 cost, which also includes the buses of Los Angeles.

Hey Josh, two places I would add that don't ever seem to get much attention in these types of videos are taking the drive up to Mt. Wilson to see the observatory up there and just the stunning view of LA from there (it's practically like having an aerial view of the whole area), and also Angels Gate Park in San Pedro and the Korean Friendship Bell that is there. Also I'd throw in Pasadena in general (some great eateries over there), and especially the whole Rose Bowl area. Great list otherwise though and I love your videos!

Angels Gate Park in Pedro is amazing and if your going that far I would recommend Long Beach with all it's sights including the Queen Mary. Also If you go to Pasadena check out Alhambra right next door for the cheapest and best Asian food in LA

I can honestly say I often forget or even unaware of some of them. But still its always fun to check em out. There are many other little hidden gems that I know many tourists would love to visit...Like Walt Disney's Carousel in Griffith Park, the Old Abandoned L.A. Zoo,...many others in fact...

Great list. Just want to mention that you can see free concerts at the Hollywood Bowl during their practice days in summer, this past year that was Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to noon. The bowl has a list of practices you can enjoy for free and even bring a picnic lunch. I would also mention the best free attraction in LA, the Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar, the greatest auto museum in the U.S. Another cool experience is to catch movie night at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, way more fun than it sounds. Another totally amazing place not expected in LA is the Self Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine, which is a natural wonder and you can visit ashes of Mahatma Gandhi at the large shrine, a peaceful and serene place that celebrates both the natural and spiritual realms.

Rancho Palos Verdes has such a beautiful coastline. Having lived in LA all my life, I find the Torrance/RPV area to be beautiful. You can even find wild peacocks at RPV!

Great attractions! I’ve been to all everything you mentioned except Olvera Street, the stadium, rose bowl (I would drive by it all the time), Universal Studios but did universal city walk numerous times, tar pits, and Getty Center/Villa. I love Randy’s donut but I think I like Voodoo Donut better. Also, I think In-n-Out is overrated. I like Habit burger better. So much to do in LA!

It would be great to see East LA added - with a spotlight on the Lowrider festival and the popular Gypsy Rose
Great focus on Griffith Park - just missing the Wisdom Tree and the Old Zoo.
Food - Missing the iconic Musso and Franks, Tommy's Burgers and Canter's Deli
The Huntington Library & Botanical Gardens - in South Pasadena is amazing!
It's amazing how many cool places there are in Los Angeles... you could literally make a mini-series (hey... that would be amazing if you did something like that! )

Note: my understanding is that Dia de Los Muertos is a multi-day celebration starting on Halloween and ending the following Saturday. Most festivities are held on the weekend. I've attended the local festival in Santa Ana, CA for the past 5 years and its tons of fun. The LA one has to be amazing.

This was a great list, but it would have been really cool to talk about the San Gabriel Mountains. It’s the best place to get away for a snow day and a nice hike or camping trip. It is also closer to downtown than Malibu. So maybe add that.

Yeah you covered it pretty well , I spent my first 62 years in the San Diego area but as soon as I could drive I was all over southern California and I had been working some sort of job since I was 10 so I was pretty flush with money for a teenager .
Oh and I like my fries animal style at In and Out also . If you check out their secret menu you can get really ridiculous with the burgers , some friends and I have done challenges with them , btw I don't really recommend actually doing it as the after effects are not good .

Skyspace is especially awesome on holidays with fireworks! I also recommend visiting the Petersen Automotive Museum. It arguably the best automotive museum in the world.

Thank you for highlighting some of L.A's most famous museums. Most tourists I think only think of the Hollywood walk of fame and the beaches as things to do , which is fine but beaches and the Hollywood sign don't make LA LA. Loved seeing Olvera Street in the video, , if tourists really want a true LA cultural experience, tourists should go to Long Beach and see the museum of Latin American Art ,the Cambodian🇰🇭 American museum, the Cambodian American community is the largest population of Cambodian immigrants and first and 2nd generation Cambodian Americans outside of Cambodia. While in Long Beach, tourists can visit the Aquarium of the Pacific . Next stop can be the Watts Towers , then in Down town LA, Union Station has so many restaurants and it's a transportation hub, so tourists can get out to Long Beach, Pasadena the valley by taking metro light rail and Metrolink to go out a little further afield. From Union station , tourists and locals alike can do a walking tour of Olvera Street , Little Tokyo and Chinatown. Historical note:, where Union Station is now, that was the original Chinatown. As a former California Science Center volunteer, it is free to get into the center and to see the exhibits, but visitors do need to have a timed ticket to see the full Space shuttle Endeavour exhibit.

Another great place to visit is the Santa Anita Park: it's a horse racing track in Arcadia. It's very nice. And, another good place to visit is The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino. It's a very beautiful place with lots of history, paintings, gardens, etc. These are my recommendations :)

Excellent accurate list but I would have had to include the Farmers Market which includes amazing eats along with cool places to shop at the adjacent Grove.

You should also mention The Grove and Farmers Market. I live in Vegas so I go to LA all the time, only a 40 min flight/4 hour drive. The Grove is a really great vibe, especially in the evening. Very clean and Farmers Market offers great food. Highly recommend

Nice video, I visited this past summer and hit up everything except for Malibu and the Getty Museums. LOVED The Bradbury Building. Also Six Flags Magic Mountain has some world class roller coasters for those that are into it.

The Adamson House in Malibu is Malibu's oldest home and is on the National Register Of Historic Places. It sits right on the ocean next to the Malibu Pier. Walking the grounds is free and a guided tour of the interior of the home is only $7. Great video by the way.

The best line in the video is when you’re taking about Rodeo Drive and the expensive shops which you can’t afford 😂😂😂 Epic shots of LA and great narrative dialogue. Nice vid. Been to all of these and still loving revisiting. I'm with you on the museums. You can spend a lifetime and not see the same thing. Would suggest Johnny's for pastrami on Sepulveda near LAX, around the corner from Tito's Tacos. Great pickles too.

Well done. Glad you filmed this during winter since the hills are green and its crowd-free. One suggestion is Santa Catalina Island/ Avalon. Also the Rose Bowl/ Old Town Pasadena. Topanga Canyon, Palos Verdes, Long Beach/ Queen Mary

I grew up in SoCal and I would say you hit a lot of great places in this video - including two or three I never made it to myself. It's been some years since I've been, but I also enjoyed walking around Melrose Blvd. It may have changed since I was last there, but I saw some celebs a few times and they had some great quirky shops.

The Daikokuya in Little Osaka (maybe another place to visit) got closed down for a few months due to a vermin infestation. That whole section on that corner was closed down. No thank you. Also, avoid the pork cutlet place next to the Tatsu ramen place. They have roaches crawling in the windows in plain sight.

Kang Ho Dong is one of my favorites. Matsuhisa is another! Seafood Cove #2 for Dim Sum. I’m a restaurant industry veteran and I’ve eaten all over the world. LA is my favorite place to eat in NA!

L.A county is actually more entertaining in my opinion. You can find snow in the mountains with ski resorts, and Magic Mountain, which is a great Theme park. (other six flags parks are instead amusement parks.)

Add to the list of filming locations. The 2nd street tunnel(The Terminator, Independence Day, Blade Runner, among many others) Is a great place to see. Its very close to Grand Central Market!
