Confesiones De Invierno
Sui Generis Lyrics

"No tienes profesión"
Conseguí licor y me emborraché
Y no quiero salir
Ya no paso frío y soy feliz
Mi cuarto da al jardín
Y aunque a veces me acuerdo de ella
Dibujé su cara en la pared
Solamente muero los domingos
Y los lunes ya me siento bien
The lyrics of Sui Generis's song Confesiones De Invierno describe a young man's struggle to find a sense of direction and purpose in life during the winter. The man has been kicked out of a woman's room because he does not have a profession, and this forces him to confront his lack of direction. The winter is harsh and gloomy without any sunshine, and while people may say that it's easy to improve oneself, it's actually difficult. The coldness and hunger make everything even harder, and the man finds himself without a job, a home, or even warm clothing.
The chorus of the song shows the man's desperation, as he asks who will give him something to smoke or a place to live. He knows he may have to live on the streets, but he doesn't know how to start. The radio only confuses him further, and he doesn't know how he will survive without any money. He realizes that he may have waited too long to try and change his situation, and he wishes someone would come and help him escape from this hell.
The final verse shows the man's descent into alcoholism, and he ends up getting into trouble with the law. However, he finds a sense of comfort in jail, as he no longer feels cold and insignificant. He has a room with a view of the garden, and he has even drawn the face of the woman he was kicked out of on the wall. He only feels like dying on Sundays, but by Monday, he feels better. The song ends by showing that while the man's life may not be perfect, he has found a sense of peace and acceptance within himself.

Me echó de su cuarto gritándome
I was kicked out of their room and yelled at
"no tienes profesión"
"you have no profession"
Tuve que enfrentarme a mi condición
I had to face my situation
En invierno no hay sol
Winter has no sun
Y aunque digan que va ser muy fácil
Even though they say it will be very easy
Es muy duro poder mejorar
It's very hard to improve
Hace frío y me falta un abrigo
It's cold and I lack a coat
Y me pesa el hambre de esperar
And hunger weighs me down as I wait
Quién me dará algo para fumar
Who will give me something to smoke
O casa en que vivir?
Or a home to live in?
Sé que entre las calles debes estar
I know you must be on the streets
Pero no se partir
But I don't know how to leave
Y la radio nos confunde a todos
And the radio confuses us all
Sin dinero la pasaré mal,
Without money, I'll have a tough time
Si se comen mi carne los lobos
If the wolves eat my flesh
No podré robarles la mitad
I won't be able to steal half from them
Dios es empleado en un mostrador
God is an employee at a counter
Da para recibir
Gives only to receive
Quién me dará un crédito, mi señor?
Who will give me credit, my lord?
Solo se sonreir
I only know how to smile
Y tal vez esperé demasiado
And maybe I waited too long
Quisiera que estuviera aquí
I wish she were here
Cerrarán la puerta de éste infierno
They will close the door to this hell
Y es posible que me quiera ir
And maybe I'll want to leave
Conseguí licor y me emborraché
I got liquor and got drunk
En el baño de un bar
In a bar bathroom
Fui a dar a la calle de un puntapié
I ended up in the street after kicking
Y me sentí muy mal
And I felt very bad
Y si bien yo nunca había bebido
And even though I had never drunk before
En la cárcel tuve que acabar
I had to end up in jail
La fianza la pagó un amigo
A friend paid my bail
Las heridas son del oficial
The injuries are from the officer
Hace cuatro años que estoy aquí
I've been here for four years
Y no quiero salir
And I don't want to leave
Ya no paso frío y soy feliz
I no longer feel cold and I'm happy
Mi cuarto da al jardín
My room overlooks the garden
Y aunque a veces me acuerdo de ella
And even though I sometimes remember her
(dibujé su cara en la pared)
(I drew her face on the wall)
Solamente muero los domingos
I only die on Sundays
Y los lunes ya me siento bien
And on Mondays, I already feel better
