Addiction can lead to physical harm and neglect of basic needs like food.

The addiction has overtaken the individual to the point where they feel that they need only one thing to survive.

It's robbing or stealing or turning a trick
Addiction can drive individuals to commit crimes or do unsavory things in order to obtain their fix.

The more you feed it, the harder it is to tame
The longer addiction is allowed to continue, the more difficult it is to overcome and control.

Taking in the Beast, playing it like a game
One can feel like they have control over their addiction, but in reality, it's the addiction that is in control.

Lying to yourself saying the same old shit
Denial is a common tactic for those struggling with addiction, as it allows them to ignore the reality of their situation.

The hunger of addiction calls
The strong desire and need for more of the addictive substance or activity is a constant presence for those struggling with addiction.

There's nothing romantic about going through withdrawals
Going through withdrawal is a painful and difficult process that should not be glamorized or trivialized.

Your life support system's a syringe
For those in the depths of addiction, the substance they crave becomes their sole means of survival.

Killing a piece of your soul every time you binge
Addiction can slowly chip away at one's inner self, leaving them feeling empty and hollow.

Addiction can feel like a demonic force that takes hold of one's mind and soul, leading them further into darkness.

Addiction requires constant attention and feeding in order to stay alive and continue to harm the individual.
