Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Suicide's "Dance" are repetitive but effective in creating a sense of urgency, movement, and intensity. The singer is calling for someone, likely a partner or possible romantic interest, to dance with them all night long. The repetition of "dance with me baby" adds a level of intimacy, while the repeated commands to dance and the use of "all night long" emphasize the party atmosphere and possibility of losing oneself in the moment.

The repetition of "let's dance, dance, dance" creates a sense of unbridled enthusiasm and the desire to just let go and move. The use of "slip 'n' slide" further adds to this image of carefree abandon and playful movement. The final lines with the repeated "dance, dance, dance" adds to the overall feeling of movement, with the music itself likely inducing a sense of physical motion in the listener.

Overall, the lyrics to "Dance" may not be deep or complex, but they effectively create a mood and atmosphere of frenetic movement and indulgence in the moment. It's a fun and energetic song that encourages the listener to simply let go and dance.

THEORY:
When Kalani spun onto the stage, she had just spun into suicidal thoughts and depression. Each time the girls in the back were on the black phone, it meant someone was calling for advice or help. When Kalani got BEHIND the desk, she had reached the Suicide Hotline, so she was getting help. Which was why the "trio", aka girls in black, came towards her. They were aware of her state and were keeping an eye on her.
Each time Kalani went away from the desk, 0:36, it meant she was getting distant. She wasn't calling or asking for help quite as much. But when she went back, that meant she knew that what she was doing was wrong. The girls then pulled her into safety. At 0:38, she used them as stepping stones to happiness.
At 0:41, you could see the despair on Kalani's face. She attempted to commit suicide but the girls caught her and helped her back up. At 0:45, they kept more of an eye on her, cheering her up etc. At 0:54, you see Kalani flailing her arms about but the girls in black are busy with phone calls so they don't/can't notice. She once again tries to kill herself but the trio are there just in time, to save her. Kalani then keeps coming and going back to the Suicide Hotline. Once the trio thinks that she's finally doing okay, they set her free. Once she leaves, they get a call on the red phone. (Which I'm assuming is someone saying either that someone has commited suicide or is in the process of doing so) by the time the trio answers, the phone, it's too late.

SIDE NOTE: You guys may have noticed that the girls in black had yellow hair ribbons and people in the audience also sported yellow ribbons. I looked it up and yellow often implies suicide prevention, which helps explain who works as a Suicide Hotline operator, and many other causes.

(Edit: Hey guys, I just added some grammar mistakes to make it easier to read and understand. Thank you so much for all the likes and for the feedback! :D )

(Edit 2: Hey guys! I’ve gotten a lot of feedback and some criticism since I’ve posted this. Some of y’all have said that this isn’t an actual theory and it’s already the meaning of the dance. I don’t watch the full show. If it was mentioned, I didn’t know at the time, and still don’t know, so back then it was a theory of mine. I thought of this in the shower, lol, because the dance really stuck with me. Anyways, I think that’s all I wanted to say. Stay safe!!!)

@pineappleperson2412

Okay here we goo

The Last Text- The girls get in a car crash
The waiting room- Kalani is the mom and her child dies
Suicide Hotline- Kalani commits suicide caused by depression
Where have all the children gone?- Then without their mother, the kids run away.
Amber Alert- The kids who decided not to run away, MADDY AND MACKENZIE,
Go to have fun at the park, Maddie is being all protective but then someone takes Mackenzie.

Its not a theory, its not what really happened, its just making a story out of the memorable dances.

I wish Kalani wore the black dress showing her in a dark place and, Nia, Brynn, and Kendall wore the white as if they were angels trying to help people.

@KJ-sx5wd

That would've been awesome!

@kristinamandathimas1860

That actually makes a lot of sense but Abby put it all together and she isn't exactly the most logical person in the world When the parents try to use that with her it's why problems create She is very unreasonable She wants to hear what she wants to hear and if something doesn't go her way or if someone messes up it doesn't matter cause she always has to be right Believe me I find it very annoying It's her worst quality I swear

@emmaw5330

Mari 197k I agree.
