comin' at you like a freight train
we can't be contained
I swear my vital's rage inside is straight out of the cage
no scientific name
of skins of thread
yeah we're takin' more
yeah we can go bestow r-r-r-rage
tie down the new age
that's the point I still make across
na na na na na na na na
we're brave we're brave
slip my acid brain
singing,
na na na na na na na na
do what we want when we want cause we wanna
do what we want
do what we want when we want cause we wanna
do what we want
ready or not
take your best shot
fight for this moment cause its all we've got
do what we want
when we want
cause we wanna
do what we want
do what we want
listen to my aching boo hoo
we swear it's brand new
you do what I do
calling copy number 2
contagious as a flu
instead of feeling blue
we're talkin power
take it over give it to you
this how it works when moons collide
jump on in wanna take a ride
hold on tight I won't bite
this is what it looks like from the side
na na na na na na na na
we're brave we're brave
slip down my acid brain,
singing na na na na na na na na
do what we want
when we want
cause we wanna
do what we want
do what we want
when we want
cause we wanna
do what we want
ready or not
take your best shot
fight for this moment cause it's all we've got
do what we want when we want cause we wanna
do what we want
do what we want
when the shadows
cast over your soul
and you're fallin' into a black hole
oh and your flesh begins like it's crawlin'
makin' sound beneath your skin
slowly decomposing
you can never win
we don't need no crowd control we gonna let let this riot roll
we don't need no crowd control we gonna let this riot-
do what we want
when we want
cause we wanna
do what we want
do what we want
when we want
cause we wanna
do what we want
ready or not
take your best shot
fight for this moment cause its all we got
do what we want
when we want
cause we wanna
do what we want
do what we want

(we don't need to crowd control we gonna let this riot roll)
The lyrics of Sumo Cyco's song "Crowd Control" are a declaration of independence and rebellion against authority. The opening lines, "we don't need no crowd control we gonna let this riot roll," set the tone for the rest of the song. The band sees themselves as a force to be reckoned with, likening themselves to a "freight train" that cannot be contained. They disregard any scientific names or labels, preferring to act on primal instincts and emotions that come "straight out of the cage."
The chorus is a call to action, urging listeners to "do what we want when we want cause we wanna." It's a simple message that encapsulates the band's ethos: live life on your own terms, and don't let anyone tell you what to do. They acknowledge that there may be obstacles to this way of living β "take your best shot" β but they encourage listeners to "fight for this moment cause it's all we've got."
The second verse of the song is a warning against conformity and apathy. The band encourages listeners to break free from the mold and take control of their lives. They use colorful imagery to drive their point home, describing the feeling of being trapped as "slowly decomposing" and "falling into a black hole."
Overall, "Crowd Control" is a powerful anthem for anyone looking to assert their independence and live life to the fullest.

Damn, it's so good to see one of the sweetish pop-punk princesses from the early 2000s grow up into this! Most of them just vanished into obscurity, Skye Sweetnam was the only one with the bite and determination to continue in her own musical direction, record deal or no record deal, against all adversity.
