Sunday Girl's debut single Four Floors was released through Polydor Records on 28 March 2010. The song was co-written and produced by Diplo. A music video directed by Elisha Smith-Leverock was also released to accompany the release of the single. On 15 July 2010, she released her second single (and video) Self Control originally performed by Laura Branigan.
Jade supported Ellie Goulding on tour during November 2010, and played her first headlining show at London's XOYO on 15 December 2010. She (with Jim Eliot of Kish Mauve) wrote and produced her third single Stop Hey, released in February 2011. She co-wrote and performed Let's Not Play Games for Martin Solveig's 2011 album Smash.
Her cover of Love U More (originally by Sunscreem) was promotionally released along with its accompanying video in October 2011, but its commercial release was delayed indefinitely. That November, she also went on tour to support LMFAO on a few of their UK dates. Williams then recorded a cover of Pixies' Where Is My Mind? for Thomson's 2011 holiday TV campaign, and the single's success helped her to be signed by Universal's Island Records in early 2012. High & Low was released on the official motion picture soundtrack of StreetDance 2.
In February 2013, Williams announced the end of the Sunday Girl project. She released her first Whinnie Williams single and music video You Don't Love Me in early 2013.

City light painted girl
In the day nothing matters
It's the night time that flatters
Oh the night, no control
Through the wall something's breaking
Wearing white as you're walkin'
Down the street of my soul
You take my self, you take my self control
You got me livin' only for the night
Before the morning comes, the story's told
You take my self, you take my self control
I, I live among the creatures of the night
I haven't got the will to try and fight
Against a new tomorrow, so I guess I'll just believe it
That tomorrow never comes
I, I live among the of a dream
I know the night is not as it would seem
I must believe in something, so I'll make myself believe it
That this night will never go
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
In the night, no control
Through the wall something's breaking
Wearing white as you're walkin'
Down the street of my soul
You take my self, you take my self control
You got me livin' only for the night
Before the morning comes, the story's told
You take my self, you take my self control
You take my self, you take my self control
You got me livin' only for the night
Before the morning comes, the story's told
You take my self, you take my self control
The lyrics to Sunday Girl's song "Self Control" reflect on the wild and free feeling of being out at night, when the city is lit up and everything feels possible. The singer sees herself as one of the "creatures of the night" and admits that she finds it hard to resist the temptation to let go and live only for the night. The hypnotic beat and repetitive lyrics create a mood of unrestrained abandon, as the singer admits that the night has taken control of her and she has little power to resist it. The lines "You take my self, you take my self control / You got me living only for the night" emphasize the idea that she has surrendered control over herself to the allure of the night, unable or unwilling to resist its pull.
The chorus also hints at a sense of longing for something more, with the line "Before the morning comes, the story's told." The singer is aware that eventually the night must give way to the day, and that the fleeting sense of freedom and abandon that she experiences will be over too soon. But for now, she is content to let the night take her where it will.
One interesting fact about "Self Control" is that it was originally recorded by Laura Branigan in 1984. Sunday Girl's version was released in 2010 as a cover, but it became a hit in its own right and reached number 41 on the UK Singles Chart.

It took me a long time to decide if I liked this or not, but I think I have to side with thumbs up. It's the original version as a drunken teen. And who couldn't use more drunken teens in their life?
