Currently she is one of the top playback singers in Bollywood - having sung for top actresses such as: Rekha, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapoor, Kajol, Urmila Matondkar, Rani Mukherji, Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen, Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Lara Dutta, Vidya Balan, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Asin, Anushka Sharma, Sonakshi Sinha, Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt.
She started her singing career at a very early age of four. She participated in many competitions and made her presence felt. Her family soon shifted to Mumbai when Tabassum, a TV host spotted her talent and expressed to her parents that she could further her career if they went to Mumbai. She became quite famous through the various competitions she participated in. Her performances were telecast all over India through the National Television channel Doordarshan, through the music show Meri Aawaz Suno where she won the "Lata Mangeshkar Trophy" for the best female singer of India along with Pradip Somasundaran in the male category. This was the first such televised contest in India in 1996. Her first break in a Hindi film was in the film Shastra followed by Gang, Veergati, Dahek, Bade Dilwala, Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, Shyam Benegal's Samar and the Vidhu Vinod Chopra film Mission Kashmir. She had no formal training before she entered into various national singing competitions. Lata Mangeshkar offered to train her when she won on the nationally-telecast "Meri Aawaz Suno"
Her singing career got a big boost when Sandeep Chowta gave her the first major break in Mast. After Mast there was no turning back. Sunidhi Chauhan had been getting lots of criticism for an extremely mature voice despite being young. However this criticism ended once Chameli came with her biggest song to date "Bhaage Re Mann" and today she and Nihira Joshi are known as the most versatile singers since Kavita Krishnamurthy and Asha Bhosle.

Tu Kuja Man Kuja
Tu Kahaan Main Kahaan
Tu Kaahan Main Kahaan
Kripa Drishti Mujh Pe Bhi Ho Maharaja
An-Ginat Chintaon Ne Ghera
Aastha Hai Jo Vyatha Hai Wo Harega Tu
Sun Meri Bhi Koi Na Mera
Tu Kuja Man Kuja
Tu Kuja Man Kuja
Tu Kahan Main Kahaan
Tu Kahaan Main Kahan
Hain Bhay Bhyankar
Path Mein Kankar Maharaja
Mujh Adham Se Kyon Tune Mukh Phera
Main Dharaatal Se Pukaarun Haath De Apna
Sun Meri Bhi Koi Na Mera
Nirdhanon Ka Dheer Tu Hai
Nirbalon Ka Bal
Sun Meri Bhi Koi Na Mera O
Main Jagat Mein Laapata
Mera Tu Pata
Main Kahan Batla
Main Ekaaki De Daya Ki Bheekh Raja
Hai Adhar Mein Shvaas Bhi Mera
Tu Kuja Man Kuja
Tu Kuja Man Kuja
Tu Kahaan Main Kahan
Tu Kahan Main Kahaan
Main Kahan Kahaan
Main Kahaan Kahaan
Ghanghor Hai Andhiyare
Sab Roothey Hai Ujiyaare
Tan Tutte, Man Haare
Tan Tutte, Man Haare
Kismat Ke Doobe Taare
Koi Kiran Dikhla Re
Hai Soone Path Saare
Hai Soone Path Saare
Main Ekaaki De Daya Ki Bheekh Raja
Kya Tujhe Aabhaas Bhi Mera…
Tu Kuja Man Kuja…
Tu Kuja Man Kuja…Ho..O…
Tu Kahan…Main Kahaan…
Tu Kahaan…
The song Tu Kuja Man Kuja is a devotional track sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. The lyrics describe the devotion of the singer to the Almighty and the sense of surrender they have towards the divine. The opening lines of the song, 'Tu Kuja Man Kuja, Tu Kahan Main Kahan' suggest a conversation between the devotee and the divine. The repetition of these lines emphasizes the importance of the connection between the two.
The next lines ask for the blessings of the divine, 'Kripa Drishti Mujh Pe Bhi Ho Maharaja.' The singer acknowledges the difficulties they face in life, the constant worries and stresses that surround them. Yet they have faith that the divine will guide them and ease their pain, 'Aastha Hai Jo Vyatha Hai Wo Harega Tu.' The words 'sun meri bhi koi na mera' emphasize the sense of surrender, as the devotee submits to the will of the divine.
The following lines talk about the challenges the devotee faces, 'Hain Bhay Bhyankar Path Mein Kankar Maharaja.' They question the divine about why they have to face these challenges, how they can overcome them. The words 'Main Dharaatal Se Pukaarun Haath De Apna' suggest a plea for help, asking for the divine to lend a hand. The singer acknowledges that they are helpless without the divine, 'Nirdhanon Ka Dheer Tu Hai, Nirbalon Ka Bal.'
Overall, the song is a beautiful depiction of devotion and surrender to the divine. The lyrics are filled with emotion, and the way Sunidhi Chauhan has sung them adds depth and meaning to the words.

I can clearly remember the scene when Alia Bhatt was trying to escape and this song was vaguely audible and it was coming from somewhere over the doors. I just thought, what this music is all about? It was so pure and then when it revealed with an awesome scene I was just spellbound. Thanks Sir Rahman, Imtiaz and Sunidhi.
