About 1961 the members of the band were changed a bit, and Sunny was strongly encouraged to sing songs in Spanish. After much thought and convincing, the gigs and much of the song playlist took place in Spanish. In 1963 Sunny picked up some new band mates, Jesse Villanueva's The Rockin' Vees, in Houston, Texas. Upon doing so, the band's name changed to what we know today, Sunny and the Sunliners.
Sunny left the sunliners and became somewhat of a solo artist. Sunny and a trio of close friends(Freddie Martinez, Augustin Ramirez, and Carlos Guzman)better known as The Legends, earned themselves a Grammy in 2000. Currently there is strong talk about more work with The Legends as well as many various shows and appearances by Sunny Ozuna himself in the near future.
There is soon to be a Sunliner Hall of Fame coming soon to SunnyOzuna.com ! Years and years of fantastic musicians have entertained thousands upon thousands of folks all over the greater United States. We do encourage you to e-mail us your candidates for most popular Sunliner and a "Where are they now " kinda page too !
Wasn't there also a band member named Edward R. Gomez that played sax as well?

Talk to me
Ooh I love the things you say
Talk to me
Talk to me
In your own
Sweet gentle way
Let me hear
Tell me dear
Tell me oooh
You love me so
Talk to me
Talk to me
Tell me what
I want to know
The many ways
You speak of love
I've heard before
And it sounds so good
Everytime
Please say the part
I love just once more
Girl, I'm so glad you're mine
Talk to me
Talk to me
Hold me close
Whisper low
Talk to me
Talk to me
Darlin' I
I love you so
The many ways
You speak of love
I've heard before
And it sounds so good
Everytime
Please say the part
I love just once more
Girl, I'm so glad you're mine
Talk to me
Talk to me
Hold me close
Whisper low
Talk to me
Talk to me
Darlin' I
I love you so
The lyrics to Sunny & The Sunglows's song Talk to Me express the desire to hear sweet and loving words from a significant other. The phrase "talk to me" is repeated throughout the song, emphasizing the need for communication and affection in a relationship. The singer is clearly enamored with the person he is speaking to, as he says he loves the things they say and wants to hear more about their feelings for him. The repetition of the phrase "the many ways you speak of love" indicates that the relationship is established and the couple has a history of expressing their love for each other.
The song has a romantic and nostalgic feel, evoking a simpler time when communication was more personal and direct. The lyrics emphasize the importance of verbal communication in a relationship, and the repetition of the phrase "talk to me" reinforces this message. The song's gentle and melodic tone reflects the sweetness of the lyrics and the desire for love and connection.
Overall, Talk to Me is a classic love song that captures the essence of romantic communication and affection. It's a reminder that in a world where everything is fast-paced and impersonal, taking the time to talk to and listen to your partner is essential for a strong and healthy relationship.

This song brings back such great memories as a kid. To this day, as soon as I hear the opening descending strings, (landing on the D aug, I think) I just have to listen to this piece in it's entirety... no matter what I may be doing at the moment. It just grabs me in. Great stuff!

My dad passed away about two years ago. And one of the fondest memories I have is of him and my mom dancing to this song together.
He loves that woman so much, even when his memory began to fade, he could still remember the day they met. His face would light up, and for a moment I forgot that he had early onset dementia worsened by a fall. For a moment he was 50 years younger, seeing the love of his life for the first time again.
Daniel Olivo, I love and miss you dad.
