Sunny was born in Hollywood, FL and at the age of four she moved to Greece. She is the granddaughter of Eleni Hatziargyri, one of the most distinguished Greek actresses of all times from whom, most importantly, was taught the real mission of an “Actor”, which is to create Moral/Ethos, deriving from the Greek word for Actor – “Ethopoios”: Poio-Ethos).
Having graduated from the Greek National Theatre school of Drama and then studied on a scholarship at the Beverly Hills Playhouse with her mentor Milton Katselas, she realized that in order to feel complete, someone has to work on all his inclinations; so after years of successfully building her acting career, she started to pursue her other passion which is music. After five years of struggling, the completion of her first album came to be in 2008, written mostly by herself, with the title: "SUNNY SIDE OF THE RAZOR". For this album she won the "Woman of the year 2010" Award for " Best New Artist". Since then, the band has completed numerous live shows, including the ROCKWAVE FESTIVAL(2009) in Athens, performing next to bands like PLACEBO and MOBY. The band is also currently selected and voted to be one of the three final bands for the support group of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' live in Athens on the 4th of September 2012.
Being nurtured with the sound of THE CURE and inspired by their lyrics “Remember you can fill up the sky, you don’t have to give in”, she felt the need to express her own truth. An inner need which would make her even perform out in the streets with just a guitar, as she says. In this album, Sunny wanted to create a small world of her own, using the english language (her mother tongue) and marrying alternative -indie to gothic sounds. She engaged to reveal the sounds of the melancholic souls of puberty, by using timely lyrics about youthful inner restlessness and pursuits; the sound arrives with intense guitar riffs and a clear influence of the New Wave and the ’80’s. Her band’s energetic live performances in Athens and Thessaloniki made the public and the critics call her one of the most subversive, rock and talented people of the music industry who says no to any "must do's” and strives for the “want to do's”.
