Why not use Electron Beam (EBeam) Irradiation technique for Sterlization before reuse. It is far more effective than steam. The EBeam can do mulitiple tasks including Sterliziing the laundry, other incoming deliveries, gloves etc.

@A B Sterilizers dont get rid of blood and such. That is what the washer is for. Sterilizers just sterilize. They use steam because it is the cheapest option

@Farmer Nate Chicken would be rather well done if cooked through t 270° F. Generally the autoclave will get the already cleaned instruments to 270° F all the way through. Enough to kill most any pathogen.

@ArtVanAuggie The cycle holds steam for 30 mins max. 30 mins at 270F wont cook a chicken at all

I cleaned surgery gear for a week. Pity those scalpel cleaners. Boring work. It was more hands on back then but still very intensive & high standards
