Despite this, he remained true to his beliefs and became free as a bird in the sky. He turned his back on politics and climbed another peak where he could indulge in the pleasures he sought. The man knew how to trick people into believing things that weren't true, making a seeing man think he's blind and a talking man believe he's deaf and dumb. He was free and happy, flying and doing what bees, birds, and rabbits do. However, this newfound happiness didn't last forever, as he was eventually caught, faced the wall with his hands up and was traced by scared folks who ridiculed him for trying to start something new.
The song reflects the plight of a person wanting to break the norm, the status quo of society, and start something new. The man, in the song, is smart, daring, independent and knows how to get what he wants, even if it means deceiving others.
