Read Full Bio ↴Superchick consists of: Tricia, Melissa, Matt, Dave, Max and Clayton.
Superchick got their first break opening for Audio Adrenaline in 1999.
In 2000, the band self-released their first album, Karaoke Superstars, which was later re-released once they were signed to Inpop Records. Having had songs appear in Legally Blonde, Cadet Kelly and on several television shows including the Real World and the X-Games, Superchick is one of the most played garage bands.
The band's line-up has changed over the years. In the beginning, there were eight members, including crew. Members credited for Karaoke Superstars were sisters Tricia [lead vocals] and Melissa [guitar, vocals] Brock, brothers Matt [bass] and Ben [drums] Dally, Dave [lead guitar, keys] Ghazarian, Andrew [percussion] Vegas, Dan [lighting, pyro] Larson, and Max [keys, guitar, turntables] Hsu.
With the release of their second album, Last One Picked, the line-up listed Tricia, Melissa, Matt, and Max with the addition of Justin [lead guitar] Sharbaro and Brian [drums] Fitch. Their remix album, Regeneration, marked the return of Dave, with Tricia, Melissa, Matt, and Max returning. The release of Beauty from Pain brought with it the band's current incarnation with the addition of Brandon Estelle on drums. Recently, Clayton [drums] Hunt, formerly of Christian rock band Dizmas, joined the group in replacement of Brandon.
After releasing four albums through Inpop, Superchick signed a deal with Columbia Records to re-release "Beauty from Pain" through the larger label.

I can't make out my own thoughts anymore
I don't know where one begins and the other one ends
I wish that I could push a button
And turn it all off just for awhile long enough to take a breath
and then I know:
(chorus)
It'll be alright
It'll be ok hey ya
It'll be alright
It'll be ok
There's so much that needs done lately
I can't make out whats important anymore
I don't know where my needs begin
and someone elses end
I don't want to let anybody down
cause I feel like I'm fallin down when I do
But for now will someone else please volunteer to say
(chorus x2)
It'll be ok
This is my last verse
And it's for everyone feeling not so great today
We don't know what's coming just around the bend
It's always hard to believe in your own life
Easier to find belief for a friend
I'll hope for you, you for me
and together we can say:
It'll be ok
It'll be alright
It'll be ok hey ya
It'll be alright
It'll be ok (fade out)
The song "Alright" by Superchick talks about the overwhelming feeling that one gets when they have too much on their mind. The singer is struggling to differentiate their own thoughts from all the chaos that bombards their mind, and they wish they could switch off this clutter for a while. However, despite their situation, they offer reassuring words to themselves and others that everything will be okay.
In the next verse, the singer talks about the difficulty of balancing their own needs with those of others. They fear letting anyone down, and this fear stems from a sense of inadequacy. However, they still acknowledge that they can't do everything alone and that it would be helpful if others chipped in. The final verse is a note of encouragement to anyone going through a tough time. The singer acknowledges how hard it can be to find hope in one's own life, but it's easier to believe for a friend. Hence, they offer hope to others, assuring them that everything will be alright.
Overall, the song "Alright" is an uplifting anthem that encourages individuals to hold on during the tough times. It reassures the listener that they are not alone, and that things will improve.
