Read Full Bio ↴Superchick consists of: Tricia, Melissa, Matt, Dave, Max and Clayton.
Superchick got their first break opening for Audio Adrenaline in 1999.
In 2000, the band self-released their first album, Karaoke Superstars, which was later re-released once they were signed to Inpop Records. Having had songs appear in Legally Blonde, Cadet Kelly and on several television shows including the Real World and the X-Games, Superchick is one of the most played garage bands.
The band's line-up has changed over the years. In the beginning, there were eight members, including crew. Members credited for Karaoke Superstars were sisters Tricia [lead vocals] and Melissa [guitar, vocals] Brock, brothers Matt [bass] and Ben [drums] Dally, Dave [lead guitar, keys] Ghazarian, Andrew [percussion] Vegas, Dan [lighting, pyro] Larson, and Max [keys, guitar, turntables] Hsu.
With the release of their second album, Last One Picked, the line-up listed Tricia, Melissa, Matt, and Max with the addition of Justin [lead guitar] Sharbaro and Brian [drums] Fitch. Their remix album, Regeneration, marked the return of Dave, with Tricia, Melissa, Matt, and Max returning. The release of Beauty from Pain brought with it the band's current incarnation with the addition of Brandon Estelle on drums. Recently, Clayton [drums] Hunt, formerly of Christian rock band Dizmas, joined the group in replacement of Brandon.
After releasing four albums through Inpop, Superchick signed a deal with Columbia Records to re-release "Beauty from Pain" through the larger label.

That's right, thats right
You hear that?
Aww yeah,
That's just the fresh sounds of Superchick going through your stereo:
Turn up the car radio
We can be karaoke superstars
Karaoke superstars
Red rover, red rover please let me come over
make me queen for a day an escort to roll over
Last to be chosen will I be here leftover well it's alright
baby it's alright baby it's
I feel alone
I feel unseen
I feel marked down
I just get my keys
CHORUS:
And we can turn up the car radio
We can be kareoke superstars
Doesn't matter what they think
When we're driving in my car
Red rover, red rover
I don't wanna come over
Cut me down to your size so you tower me over
only works if I care
And if I don't your reign's over
And it's alright, baby it's alright
baby it's
I am alone
I am unleashed
I define myself
I just get my keys
CHORUS
Red rover, red rover
If you want them come over
It's a no critic car
So there's no one to win over
Be your own superstar
When the voting is over and
We're alright baby we're alright
Baby we're alright, baby we're alright
Turn up the car radio
We can be karaoke superstars
Doesn't matter what they think
If we don't think about it
(times 4)
We can be superstars
The lyrics to Superchic[k]'s song Karaoke Superstars talk about feeling alone, unseen, and marked down. The singer is asking to be let in, to be made queen for a day, and to not be left over. The lyrics address the feelings of being inferior to others and trying to fit in. The chorus, "And we can turn up the car radio, we can be karaoke superstars, doesn't matter what they think when we're driving in my car," explains that it’s okay to feel different and that doesn't matter if other people judge you, as long as you are having a good time.
The song tells the listener to be their own superstar, to not be swayed by critics or others' opinions. It's okay to be who you are and enjoy life. The lyrics are empowering and encourage the listeners to embrace their individuality and not worry about fitting in with others.
