Read Full Bio ↴Superchick consists of: Tricia, Melissa, Matt, Dave, Max and Clayton.
Superchick got their first break opening for Audio Adrenaline in 1999.
In 2000, the band self-released their first album, Karaoke Superstars, which was later re-released once they were signed to Inpop Records. Having had songs appear in Legally Blonde, Cadet Kelly and on several television shows including the Real World and the X-Games, Superchick is one of the most played garage bands.
The band's line-up has changed over the years. In the beginning, there were eight members, including crew. Members credited for Karaoke Superstars were sisters Tricia [lead vocals] and Melissa [guitar, vocals] Brock, brothers Matt [bass] and Ben [drums] Dally, Dave [lead guitar, keys] Ghazarian, Andrew [percussion] Vegas, Dan [lighting, pyro] Larson, and Max [keys, guitar, turntables] Hsu.
With the release of their second album, Last One Picked, the line-up listed Tricia, Melissa, Matt, and Max with the addition of Justin [lead guitar] Sharbaro and Brian [drums] Fitch. Their remix album, Regeneration, marked the return of Dave, with Tricia, Melissa, Matt, and Max returning. The release of Beauty from Pain brought with it the band's current incarnation with the addition of Brandon Estelle on drums. Recently, Clayton [drums] Hunt, formerly of Christian rock band Dizmas, joined the group in replacement of Brandon.
After releasing four albums through Inpop, Superchick signed a deal with Columbia Records to re-release "Beauty from Pain" through the larger label.

Waiting for the dream life
You thought you had in store
Trying to feel something
You can chase a life that's thrilla
Living on the edge
Smoking, drinking dream killas
Couldabeen shouldabeen woulda been
Today you're not a has-been, but at your life's end
Will you have regrets then, have regrets then?
Are you ok with today if tomorrow is the end
Live today through the future's lens
Don't want to wish you could rewind and play it again
Stand up write the soundtrack for your life
It doesn't happen to you, you happen to life
Stand up, You know you're gonna have to fight
Don't want to lose the will to find your light
Stand up, God gave you the gift of life
It doesn't happen to you, you happen to life
Stand up, do something with your life
You're a light on a hill, you're meant to shine so bright
(So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright,
So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright)
We're all scared, gotta wonder what's out there,
Shooting down the ones who did what we wish we dared
Everybody's scared to karaoke in the open
Afraid we're not as special as what we might be hoping
So we're frozen haven't chosen just going through the motions
Faith and belief, courage overrule emotions
Stand up and be counted for something when it's time
Decide where you stand, take your hands raise em high
Live today through the future's lens
Don't want to wish you could reset and play it again
Stand up write the soundtrack for your life
It doesn't happen to you, you happen to life
Stand up, You know you're gonna have to fight
Don't want to lose the will to find your light
Stand up, You've been given the gift of life
It doesn't happen to you, you happen to life
Stand up, do something with your life
You're a light on a hill, you're meant to shine so bright
(So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright,
So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright, So bright)
*Supa-chick rock tha beat*
I want to shine so bright
I want to shine so bright
I want to shine so bright
I want to shine so bright
I want to shine so bright
I want to shine so bright
I want to shine so bright
I want to shine so bright...
The song "So Bright" by Superchic[k] is an uplifting and inspiring call to action for listeners to take control of their lives and choose to live with purpose, rather than simply going through the motions. The lyrics acknowledge the fear and uncertainty that we all experience, but urge us to not let those feelings hold us back from living fully. The first verse speaks to the common feeling of boredom and dissatisfaction with life, and the temptation to chase thrills or escape through vices like smoking and drinking. However, the song reminds us that we have the power to create a fulfilling life, and to live in a way that we'll be proud of when we look back on it in our final days. The chorus encourages us to write the soundtrack to our own lives, to fight for what we want, and to use the gift of life we've been given to shine brightly and make a positive impact on the world.
In the second verse, the lyrics touch on another common fear - the fear of not being special or unique. The song acknowledges that we all have moments of self-doubt and insecurity, but urges us to push past those feelings and have faith in ourselves. We're reminded that we have the power to make choices, and that we should strive to make choices that align with our values and goals. Instead of just going through the motions, the song encourages us to "stand up and be counted for something" and to live today with an eye toward the future. The message of the song is ultimately one of hope, urging us to live with purpose and to use our talents and gifts to shine brightly and make a positive impact on the world.
