Still Here

I looked down and lost my way by light
Brought to my knees
Though the dark surrounds, it pulls me down,
I do not sink beneath.
Still here, staggering on,
Through the impossible, we remain,
Still here, still fighting on,
All we have is today, find my way
To the beauty of one more day,
Still here.
Hope fades away,
When tomorrow holds no promises today
Then today I am set free
For amidst the tears, among the fear
I find the joy to be
Still here, staggering on,
Through the impossible, we remain,
I can breathe, one more day.
Still here, still fighting on,
All we have is today, find my way
To the beauty of one more day,
Still here.
Still here, staggering on,
Through the impossible, we remain,
I can breathe, one more day.
Still here, still fighting on,
All we have is today, find my way
To the beauty of one more day,
Still here.
The lyrics to Superchic[k]'s song Still Here convey a message of resilience and determination in the face of adversity. The song speaks to the struggles of life and the darkness that can surround us at times, but also to the strength and courage that we have within ourselves to keep fighting and to appreciate the beauty in each day.
In the first verse, the lyrics describe the singer losing their way in the darkness but managing to stay afloat and not sink beneath it. This can be seen as a metaphor for the challenges of life that we can face, but still managing to keep moving forward despite the obstacles. The chorus then repeats the phrase "still here" several times, emphasizing the idea that even when things are tough, we are still alive and fighting on.
The second verse speaks to the idea that hope can fade when we don't see any promises for the future, but instead of giving up, the singer is "set free" in the present moment. This can be seen as a reminder to appreciate the little things in life and to find joy even when things may seem bleak. Overall, the lyrics of Still Here are a powerful message of hope and resilience that can inspire listeners to keep fighting through their own struggles.
