Formed… Read Full Bio ↴Superheroes were a Danish band playing synth-based indie pop.
Formed in Skive, Denmark in 1996 by Thomas Troelsen and Asger Tarpgaard, the band consisted of Thomas Troelsen (vocals and synthesizers), Thomas Christensen (drums), Tanja Simonsen (keyboard and backing vocals), Lars Hovendahl (bass), Bjarke Staun (guitar and synthesizers) and Asger Tarpgaard (guitar). New Generation
Superheroes Lyrics

Oh well I'm dressed up like
a sex machine
And if the kids are ready I'm ready to go
I smell a sexual
feeling in the air
We like girls and boys dancing in the street
x 4
Oh walla walla walla, shake your hips and shake your toes
We gonna make
you shake everything you got
Yeah, we better come with music you can dance
to
The beats we have are gonna make you move
We like girls and boys
dancing in the street
Ohhhhhhhh no, we're not the new generation
x 3
Ohhhhhhhh no, we're not a part of the new
generation
We are the super six, yeah we gonna make you move
Ohhhhhhhh no, we're not the new generation
x 2
Oh walla walla
Ohhhhhhhh no, we're not the new
generation x 2
The above lyrics to Superheroes' song "New Generation" are about the power and excitement of music and dance. The singer is all dressed up and ready to go, feeling a sexual energy in the air, and looking forward to dancing with both boys and girls in the street. The lyrics emphasize the importance of music that makes you want to move and encourages everyone to let loose and shake everything they've got. Despite the repeated refrain of "Ohhhhhhhh no, we're not the new generation," the song's message is ultimately one of celebration and defiance, suggesting that the spirit of youth and rebellion is timeless and can be found in every generation.

This is one of my favorite songs in history, this is beyond funky and that bass line pulsating with those drums, this made me want to become a music producer just to try and figure out how Prince got it so perfect, I'll probably be 80 when I finally catch up to him on what he did on this π₯π₯π₯
