Their sound has been compared to a fusion of Talking Heads, Tame Impala, and Steely Dan, raised under the California sun. The band's creative process takes place in their house-turned-studio in Highland Park, where they self-produce all their music, utilizing an assortment of instruments scattered throughout the space.
Since the release of their single "New Biome" in 2016, Sure Sure has witnessed a rapid growth. Their subsequent releases, including the heartbreak-pop track "Friends" and the dance-infused "Hands Up Head Down," earned them acclaim and reached number one on the Hype Machine charts. Notably, they received praise from notable figures in the indie music community such as Grizzly Bear and Rostam of Vampire Weekend.
Sure Sure has established themselves as an exciting emerging band from the Eastside of Los Angeles. Their talent and captivating live shows have propelled them to perform over 150 shows in two years, sharing stages with esteemed artists like Young The Giant, Hippo Campus, Coin, and Rainbow Kitten Surprise.
Saudade
Sure Sure Lyrics

The party's on
But I can't be bothered by nothing at all
Ooh I hustle every day of the week yeah
Whoah, I'll meet you there
Saudade
You came to me in a dream
Watching eachother breathe
There's a hole in my hands
And a cloud in my head
And the look of your face fading away
Until I go back to sleep
Whoah, I'll meet you there
Yeah, I'll meet you there
Saudade
You came to me in a dream
Sat there and didn't speak
Watching eachother breathe
Sure Sure's song Saudade tells the story of a person who is struggling to find meaning and purpose in their life. At the beginning of the song, the person is at a party, but they feel disconnected and unable to engage with those around them. The lyrics, "But I can't be bothered by nothing at all, Ooh I hustle every day of the week yeah, Whoah, I'll meet you there," suggest that the person is consumed by the daily grind of life and is struggling to find fulfillment in their routine. They are, however, able to find some solace in the idea of meeting someone they care about, who they can connect with.
The word "Saudade" is used throughout the song and it holds significant meaning as it is a Portuguese word that has no direct English translation. It is often described as a feeling of melancholic longing, yearning, or nostalgia for something that is absent or lost. The lyrics describe how Saudade comes to the person in their dreams, sitting silently with them, and the two watching each other breathe. The hole in the person's hands and the cloud in their head symbolize their inability to grasp onto what they truly desire, leading to the reality of your face fading away. The last repetition of "Whoah, I'll meet you there" suggests that the person is still yearning for a connection and hopes to find it someday.
