Burning Heart
Survivor Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Two worlds collide
Rival nations
It's a primitive clash
Venting years of frustrations
Bravely we hope
Against all hope
There is so much at stake
Seems our freedom's up
Against the ropes
Does the crowd understand?
Is it East versus West
Or man against man?
Can any nation stand alone?

In the burning heart
Just about to burst
There's a quest for answers
An unquenchable thirst
In the darkest night
Rising like a spire
In the burning heart
The unmistakable fire

In the burning heart

In the warrior's code
There's no surrender
Though his body says stop
His spirit cries, never
Deep in our soul
A quiet ember
Knows it's you against you
It's the paradox
That drives us on
It's a battle of wills
In the heat of attack
It's the passion that kills
The victory is yours alone

In the burning heart
Just about to burst
There's a quest for answers
An unquenchable thirst
In the darkest night
Rising like a spire
In the burning heart
The unmistakable fire

In the burning heart
Just about to burst
There's a quest for answers
An unquenchable thirst
In the darkest night
Rising like a spire
In the burning heart
The unmistakable fire

In the burning heart
Just about to burst
There's a quest for answers
An unquenchable thirst
In the darkest night
Rising like a spire
In the burning heart
The unmistakable fire

Overall Meaning

Survivor's song Burning Heart is a powerful anthem that talks about the struggles of freedom and the balance between one's spirit and body. The lyrics symbolize two rival nations colliding, and the tension between the East and the West as they battle for power. The song speaks of the primitive clash between these two forces, an expression of vented frustration, and the hope that shines brightly amidst all this turmoil. Even when it seems that freedom is at stake, there is still a quest for answers that burns within our hearts.

As the lyrics say, "in the warrior's code, there's no surrender, though his body says stop, his spirit cries, never." This is perhaps the most poignant part of the song. It talks about the deep sense of conviction and determination that every person needs to make an impact in life. The paradox that drives us on even when we want to give up, and the battle of wills that we must face when we are under attack. The victory in the end belongs to the person alone, as they are the ones who fought for it.

The song's chorus is particularly striking, where the singer describes the burning heart that is just about to burst. The quest for answers is strong, and the thirst for knowledge unquenchable. The fire in the heart burns brighter and brighter, rising like a spire, even in the darkest of nights. In the end, the unmistakable fire of the burning heart becomes a symbol of hope, determination, and the will to overcome any obstacle.

This song is so underrated. It deserves a lot more attention. "In the warrior's code there's no surrender Though his body says stop His spirit cries NEVER!" I tell myself that all the time.

@Lonstermash

I hear it in my head randomly when I'm training, too! 💪🥊
