High On You
Survivor Lyrics
There you stood, that'll teach ya
To look so good and feel so right
Let me tell you 'bout the girl I met last night
It's understood, I had to reach ya
I let the wheel of fortune spin
I touched your hand before the crowd
Started crushin' in
Now I'm higher than a kite
I know I'm gettin' hooked on your love
Talkin' to myself, runnin' in the heat
Of the street and I --
I can't stop thinking 'bout you girl
I must be living in a fantasy world
I've searched the whole world over
To find a heart so true
Such complete intoxication
I'm high on you
Smart and coy, a little crazy
The kinda face that starts a fight
Let me tell you 'bout the girl I had last night
Piercin' eyes, like a raven
You seemed to share my secret sin
We were high before the night
Started kickin' in
Now I'm screamin' in the night
I know I'm gettin' hooked on your love
Talkin' to myself, runnin' in the heat
Beggin' for your touch in the middle
Of the street and I --
I can't stop thinking 'bout you girl
I must be living in a fantasy world
I've searched the whole world over
To find a heart so true
Such complete intoxication
I'm high on you

It's fair to say the music of the 80's was better, (actually 1000%) better then what we're hearing now.

Today's music is better it's just locked up on television since they're the only people paying singers now.

So not true. I hear that tired clichƩ almost everyday. A 70s child and an 80s teen I loved the 80s. However great music did not die in the 80s. It is being made every day. There is more competition, and more platforms so now you have to find it. Newer bands like Five finger death punch, Three days grace, and if you want a throwback Ozzy is still rocking. Its a demeaning thing to say to those out there in the bars and garages grinding it out wanting to live out and play rock n roll dreams. You can say the 80s music is one of a kind, but to say it tops all of the new rock n rollers out there is a huge reach.

1000% is a little low. Real music died around 2000

I would never trade the 1980s for any other, as it was a remarkable decade in terms of music played with passion

I don't think anyone who was there would agree with you. It was a magical time to be alive for anyone that loved music.

@Sergio D'Ambrosio Indeed it is. And it's a great thing we can still enjoy the music of that era. And it's making a comeback.

Yes, I can fully comprehend and I agree. A special time to be young! š
