Hell yeah
It's been a minute
Had to just think about this shit
But fuck it
It's been so many days without you
Girl I'm waiting on you
I'm waiting on you
I know you busy
But I miss you
I've been waiting on you
I've been waiting on you
Girl I've been waiting on you
Five thirty I'd be checkin' all my texts
Not a single one comin'
Man she probably havin' sex
My insecurities gon' be knockin' my door
Won't you tell me the truth
Baby my heart's on the floor
But you forget that I'm yours
Then you forget that you're mine
I ain't trynna make war
But you ain't picking my line
Truth gon' come with the time
Girl, you've been closin' me out
Haven't heard from my girl
Shit my heart's havin' doubts
But I'm out
It's been so many days without you
Girl I'm waiting on you
I'm waiting on you
I'm waiting on you
I know you busy
But I miss you
I've been waiting on you
I've been waiting on you
Girl I've been waiting on you (Yeah)
I got a call from my dude like last night
He be talkin' 'bout some hunny that he lately givin' pipe
So I asked for a pic
He showed me on the gram
So he showed me my girl
Like he forgot who I am
Wasn't angry at my nigga
'Cause he didn't know much
Wanted to marry the hunny when the music blows up
Damn
I always knew that she been cheatin'
Bring out all the sticks
Don't forget to put the weed in
Shit, I can't believe it
It's been so many days without you
Girl I'm waiting on you
I'm waiting on you
I'm waiting on you
I know you busy
But I miss you
I've been waiting on you
I've been waiting on you
Girl I've been waiting on you

In "Waiting For You," Sushi shares his experience of missing his partner who has grown distant, leaving him unsure of her feelings towards him. The opening line, "Hell yeah. It's been a minute. Had to just think about this shit. But fuck it," suggests that Sushi has been reflecting on his relationship and trying to make sense of things. Despite the distance between them, Sushi is still waiting for his partner, as he repeats the phrase "I'm waiting on you" throughout the song.
Sushi expresses his insecurities about his partner's actions when he says, "Five thirty I'd be checkin' all my texts. Not a single one comin'. Man she probably havin' sex." These lines highlight his fear of her cheating and his vulnerability to her actions. Sushi pleads for honesty from his partner, addressing her with "Won't you tell me the truth. Baby my heart's on the floor." This reveals his emotional turmoil and the importance of communication in his relationship.
The second verse reveals that Sushi's suspicions were valid. A friend of his showed him a picture of his partner with someone else, suggesting that she had been cheating on him. Sushi's reaction reveals his devastation, and he begins to express his anger and determination to move on. Despite this, he still ends the song with "Girl I've been waiting on you," suggesting that there is a flicker of hope that their relationship can be repaired.
