Kaleidoscope
Swan Dive Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
whenever I look in your eyes,
there's a hundred colors across the skies,
and there's me becoming you becoming what we're dreaming of,
and we'll be together this way forever in love.
The city down below,
looking through a window we can see the lights,
we were only strangers living out our days in black and white.
Now the world is a kaleidoscope
whenever I look in your eyes,
there's a hundred colors across the skies,
and there's me becoming you becoming what we're
dreaming of,
and we'll be together this way forever in love.
And all the things you are
filling up my senses I can feel my feet leave the ground.
And the world is a kaleidoscope
whenever I look in your eyes,
there's a hundred colors across the skies,
and there's me becoming you becoming what we're
dreaming of,
and we'll be together this way forever in love.
The lyrics of Swan Dive's song Kaleidoscope paint a vivid picture of the transformative power of love. The chorus draws a metaphorical comparison between the world and a kaleidoscope, implying that with love, the world becomes a much brighter, more vibrant place to be. The lyrics describe the infinite colors of the skies reflected in the eyes of the beloved, and this endless array of colors is a representation of the infinite possibilities of love. The singer is in awe, as she acknowledges the possibility of a dream coming true, of becoming one with the person she loves, of embracing a new reality that is more beautiful than she could have ever imagined. The final lines of the song underline the eternal nature of this love, with the singer declaring that they will be together this way forever in love.
