when I got to this boss for the first time I was one hit away from killing it and decided to use stab to defeat it. but he nearly wiped my party the turn prior and omori was on 1 hp. I decided to use stab to kill it, I had kel attack then pass to omori and in the middle of the animation I went " wait doesn't kel's pass to omori deal one damage?" then omori died and I had to restart the fight funniest shit in my life

Nah, it all was. You saw bits and pieces of Sunny, and you saw emotional instability in the bosses and fear in general. You can even tell he likely had bad experience with something like this. He must've had dial-up at some point and likely got frustrated at some point... and possibly even downloaded a virus and got in trouble for it.
All of the stuff in the dream is based on reality. Pluto's design is even Kel's virtual rock.

All of it was parts of his psychology... and it is all much more disturbing in that context.
Every moment is him wanting back what was lost and being haunted by the fact it can't.
Being haunted by Something.
An inescapable hell that is better then real life where he is alone in hell.

Pay attention. It says 99%, you are safe. It says still at 99% then it is about to attack. The attack always deals exactly 80% of everyone's max life. So do not worry about party defense or enemy attack.
Edit: This is only 2 cycles, then it continues to crash.

Actually this boss makes perfect sense! If you think about it all the bosses in the game are based off of Sunnys memories such as Space ex boyfreind being a real life charecter from a show or somthing. The boss here represents his real life computer that he uses in whitespace. He probably has to deal with virus and other such problems when using his pc as it is somwhat hinted to that he spends alot of time looking at adult content at the internet in the blog.

Was anybody else extremely underleveled for this fight so when you got to the fifth turn (which is from then on it spams crash and burn) you got obliterated? I know I did several times, I had to go back to farm a few levels, then the fight was super easy.

The attack actually does like 80% of everyone's max life, so maximizing attack is priority.

@SonicMaster 519 Idk, but I just realized that you are partially correct, it waits 2 turns, then attacks, repeats, then on the 6th turn when it attacks, it will continue to attack every turn. So you only have 5 turns in which you might not die right away.
