Sweet Featuring Brian Connolly Lyrics

Tell me is it really true
This feelin' that I feel for you
Your own kind of lovin' that makes me think
Nothing could ever take the place of you

And it's so funny funny
What you do, honey, honey
What you do, what you mean to me
And you know, honey, honey
Though it's so funny funny
That you mean all the world to me

Ever since you came my way
I knew it was my lucky day
The sun started shinin' when you started smiling
And I know it's gonna stay that way

And it's so funny funny
What you do, honey, honey
What you do, what you mean to me
And you know, honey, honey
Though it's so funny funny
That you mean all the world to me

Can't imagine lovin' anyone but you
(Honey honey, so funny funny)
Every minute lovin' everything you do
(Honey honey, so funny funny)
Couldn't see my way without you
Now I gotta tell the world about you

Tell me is it really true
This feelin' that I feel for you
Your own kind of lovin' that makes me think
Nothing could ever take the place of you

And it's so funny funny
What you do, honey, honey
What you do, what you mean to me
And you know, honey, honey
Though it's so funny funny
That you mean all the world to me

And it's so funny funny
What you do, honey, honey
What you do, what you mean to me
And you know, honey, honey
Though it's so funny funny
That you mean all the world to me

And it's so funny funny

What you do, honey, honey
What you do, what you mean to me

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Sweet Featuring Brian Connolly's song "Funny Funny" are an ode to the power of love, particularly the feeling one experiences when they find their soulmate. The song opens with the singer questioning whether his emotions are real or not, wondering if what he feels towards his love interest is genuine. However, as the song progresses, the singer becomes increasingly convinced that his love is real, and that he has never felt this way before. The lyrics emphasize the unique and wonderful qualities of his love, and how nothing could ever replace her in his life.

The chorus of "Funny Funny" is perhaps the most memorable part of the song, as it repeats the phrase "And it's so funny funny, what you do, honey honey." The use of the word "funny" in this context is interesting, as it could be interpreted in a few different ways. One way of looking at it is that the singer is using "funny" to mean "strange" or "unexpected." This would make sense given the context of the song, as falling in love can often take someone by surprise. Another way of interpreting the use of "funny" in the chorus is that it is meant to convey a sense of joy and happiness. The singer may be saying that his love makes him feel so overjoyed that it's almost funny.

Overall, "Funny Funny" is a lighthearted and upbeat song about falling in love. It celebrates the unique connection between two people, and emphasizes the joy and happiness that can come from finding one's soulmate.

Do honey honey,what you do,what
You mean to me. And you know honey
Honey though it’s so funny funny that you mean
All the world to me

The sun started shining when you started smiling and know
It’s gonna stay that way. And it’s so funny funny what you do

Know honey honey though it’s so funny funny that you mean
All the world to me

Every lovin’ minute everything you do
Couldn’t see my way without you now
I gotta tell the world about you

Tell me is it really true, this feeling that I fell for you
Your own kind of lovin’ makes me think nothing could
Ever take the place of you. And it’s so funny funny what

I love this song. It brings back lovely memories of my beautiful fiance Steve who, very sadly, passed away last year. He loved this song too.

How ironic all 3 of them are lined up ... RIP Brian, Mick and Steve.

One of the first songs my brother had on cassette tape and the very first song I ever heard of the Sweet. That was in 1971 - as time goes by! The first really big hit - for me an irresistible Bubblegum classic, with which I associate beautiful childhood memories and which still ensures pure good mood today. Thanks for sharing it from Germany.
