Silly Sally
Sweet Smoke Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Hey, be with me tonight
I got a thing I wanna show you
Hey, be with me tonight
We're gonna ride it together
'Cause we're victimized
Oh, now, Sa-Sa-Sally
Hey, be with me tonight
Well, my feet hurt by now
Your nerve-ends pulsating, now, now, now
Our fingertips merge as one, love, love, love, love
Gotta keep it going, we're freaking out, freaking out
Gotta make some love in our room
Well, now, Sa-Sa-Sally
Hey, be with me tonight
I got a thing I wanna show you
Hey, be with me tonight
We're gonna ride it together
'Cause we're hypnotized
Oh, now, Sa-Sa-Sally
Hey, be with me tonight
Oh, be with me tonight
Oh, be with me tonight
I said be with me tonight
AH!
I gotta love, love, love, love
I gotta love, love, love, love
You little darling gotta love in the moonlit night
Love me darling, you gotta love me right
Love you through the day
Love you throught the night
I gotta love, love, love, love
I gotta love, love, love, love
You little darling gotta love in the moonlit night
Love me darling, you gotta love me right
Love you through the day
Love you throught the night
I gotta love, love, love, love
You little darling gotta love, love, love, love
You got me talking 'bout love fever
You got me talking 'bout love fever
(Unintelligible scat singing)
The song "Silly Sally" by Sweet Smoke is about a guy who is trying to convince his love interest Sally to spend the night with him. The lyrics are suggestive and convey a sense of urgency - the guy has a "thing" he wants to show Sally and they are going to "ride it together." The use of repetition and alliteration in the lyrics ("Sa-Sa-Sally," "freaking out, freaking out") adds to the trance-like feel of the song. The music itself is upbeat and groovy, with a prominent bassline and guitar riff. The scat singing towards the end of the song adds to the playful and carefree mood.
Overall, "Silly Sally" is a fun and flirtatious song that celebrates the joys of sexual attraction and spontaneity. Even though the lyrics are not overtly explicit, they convey a sense of intimacy and longing that is both thrilling and risky. The urgency in the guy's voice suggests that he may not have many chances to be with Sally, and he wants to make the most of the moment. The song captures the spirit of the 1970s, when sexual liberation and experimentation were in the air and people were encouraged to take risks and follow their desires.

Good Old Germany' verschlagen hatte.
Titel auf Just A Poke 'Baby Night' ist.
"From ignorance to knowledge, from death to immortality, from darkness to light..!"

starts out with some great riffs (Steve Rosensteinand)and sax playing(Michael Paris) lyrics for a while and then some unintelligible scat ?? lyrics
around 04:03 hold on to your hats ,we're heading into outa space .this is were some amazing soloing
starts .the peak of the album for most .some great almost psychedelic guitar playing from (marvin Kaminovitz) heavy in effects and echo.
and this is where the head bending (left to right) and maybe even quad esp in head phones music travels
followed by a (Andy Dershin) bass improvised solo scales all over the place. the drum solo(Jay Dorfman ) is almost hypnotic
tight AF . coming out of the trance every one taps and bangs a instrument to the culmination guitar riff loud sax and
brings it all back. fantastic musicians i just wish i could have seem the live jam in germany .peace luv om .

I'd never heard of these guys till today, and It was suggested that I should listen these guys. Glad Idid. Great song. Kinda like Iron Butterfly's little brother. Some similarities there, but these guys have a little jazzy feel going....
