Soldiers
Switchblade Symphony Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

See all the faces
Out walking in the street
You will find the way to love
See how they run
See how they fly
Ooo waa waa waa
Ooo waa waa waa
Ooo ooo
Who are you?
Who are you?

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
Many more to obligate

See past the surface
To all the broken hearts
Beating much too slow
See how they run
See how they fly
Ooo waa waa waa
Ooo waa waa waa
Ooo ooo

Who are you?
Who are you?

Overall Meaning

The song "Soldiers" by Switchblade Symphony has a dreamlike quality and seems to be an introspective journey of the mind. The repeated phrase "see how they run, see how they fly" implies the fleeting nature of life and how quickly time passes. The lyrics encourage the listener to look beyond the surface and see the broken hearts of those around us who may be hiding their pain. The line "beating much too slow" could imply the struggles of those who are dealing with mental health issues or heartbreak. The chorus poses a question to the listener, asking "Who are you?" This could be interpreted as an invitation to self-reflection and questioning one's own identity and purpose in life.

The counting in the middle of the song ("1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, many more to obligate") could possibly allude to the burdens and responsibilities we carry in life, with the phrase "many more to obligate" implying that there is always more work to be done. The song's chorus calls for a deeper understanding of others and oneself, as evidenced by the repeated questioning of identity.

@Anonymous-wb3nz

How do you "grow out" of music? Moron.....

@darkgraver6095

@@Anonymous-wb3nz People can lose interest in music y'know. For instance, I used to really like phonk and now I'm not interested in it anymore. Sure, I still like it, but I don't think I'd listen to it as much as I had before nowadays. Anyway, since no one has told you this; do you always have something negative to say? How pessimistic are you? You came across as super aggressive 7 months ago and it seems as if you were going through your own internal conflicts around that time. ...Or perhaps you're generally not a very happy person and you'll respond to my comment as you did all the others; verbally belligerent. If so then I guess that's just you and there's no changing that. Hello again by the way

@FabiolaMacabre

Honestly same ❤ been a fan since 2007

@@darkgraver6095 i think about a year ago you posted a reply to the wrong person

@darkgraver6095

@@Unacknowledged86 That's odd! I do recall who the original commenter was that I had replied to and it certainly wasn't within this thread.. ..Perhaps they had deleted their original comment so my reply had migrated elsewhere? I'm not sure how else I can explain that discrepancy
