She was born in 1934 and she had the ambition to be a ballet dancer. She studied with Madeleine Rosay at the Teatro Municipal's corp de ballet in Rio de Janeiro, but she would also practice singing and playing the piano.[1]
Telles preceded the advent of bossa nova, and began covering songs by such influential composers as Antonio Carlos Jobim, and worked with others such as Luiz Bonfá. She also did several tribute albums to Antonio Carlos Jobim. One of the most famous classic bossa nova songs was written for her by Jobim, its namesake her nickname - "Dindi".
By the early 1960s, she had made her first trip to the United States, recording U.S.A. with Barney Kessel (among others) for Philips. Her husband, producer Aloysio de Oliveira, proved instrumental in her later signing to Odeon and Elenco, two labels where he worked. Telles had just recorded her second tribute to Jobim, 1966's The Music of Mr. Jobim (or Sings the Wonderful Songs of Antonio Carlos Jobim), when she was killed in a car accident at the age of 32. Telles is the mother of singer, musician and songwriter Claudia Telles, born August 26, 1957. [2]
Chove Lá Fora
Sylvia Telles Lyrics

Chove lá fora
E esta saudade enjoada
Não vai embora
Quisera que soubesses
Como estou triste
Quisera compreender
The lyrics of Sylvia Telles's Chove Lá Fora evoke a sense of sadness and longing. The opening lines describe a cold and rainy night, setting a melancholic tone for the rest of the song. The singer expresses their feelings of overwhelming nostalgia and how it won't go away. They wish they could convey the depth of their sorrow to the person they are addressing. At the same time, they struggle to understand why that person left them, further increasing their emotional turmoil.
As the rain continues to pour heavily outside, the singer seems to look up to the sky and question the universe itself. They explain how only God knows how infinite the pain of not knowing where the other person is, how they're doing and who they're with. In this way, the song represents the universal experience of heartbreak and the struggles that come with it.
Overall, "Chove Lá Fora" is a poignant representation of the feelings of loss and longing that come with heartbreak. It beautifully captures universal emotions that are easily relatable and strikes a chord with anyone who has experienced a heartbreak.

VIVA o passado! Viva Sylvia Telles e a safra do passado!

@Beto5885

Infelizmente, a grande, quase absoluta, maioria é lixo.
