1) Syndrome (Ｓｙｎｄｒｏｍｅ) is a Gothic and Visual Rock band from Japan founded by guitarist Ruiza (ex LAYBIAL) and bassist Kisaki (ex MIRAGE) in January 2000. The lineup was completed by drummer Shion, vocalist Tatsuya and guitarist Ken. The latter two left the band in June 2001 and were replaced by ASAGI (ex JE*REVIENS) and Sin (ex Vasalla). In its two-year long history the band has been very productive, releasing three mini albums, several singles and few video tapes. Some members even worked on solo releases and side projects.
Sadly, Syndrome had to disband in November 2002 due to Kisaki’s health problems and the consequent closure of Matina. Asagi, Sin and Ruiza eventually formed D, while Shion joined Shelly Trip Realize.

2) SYNDROME is an experimental project from Ghent, Belgium. Mathieu Vandekerckhove (guitarist of Amenra, Kingdom, Sembler Deah) and Tine Guns are Syndrome. Their music mostly consist of post-rock and ambient elements. Church Of Ra.

To Anyone feeling stressed out having to undergo this operation, please read below to calm down and get a clear view of what's waiting!

I did the surgery 2 days ago and everything went well. It was terrifying and it hurt a lot but thankfully I live in Sweden and they know what they're doing. Its a very normal procedure that has a high percentage success rate. Whenever I felt pain and were suffering, they pumped Afentanyl into me and I was on cloud 9.

Seeing my heart beat on the EKG afterwards working normally without the extra heart beat was a big relief. Everything feels good afterwards but Im very tired since Im still recovering. My breathing is better but haven't had the chance yet to try out how it feels to work out because I still get pain in my heart if I walk too fast or get my heart working.

I arrived at 07:00 to the hostpital, receiving 1 Stesolid ( Benso ) and 2 Aspirins.
At 07:50 they drove me to the operation room and connected me to about 40 wires.
I was not allowed to move AT ALL. Not even lifting my head the slightest for the entire surgery ( 3 hours ) + 3 hours recovering afterwards.
At 08:30 they were done with all the wires and body checks and they cut me open by the groin at the soft spot.
It hurt but I was given painkillers some seconds after.
They were triggering my heart beats with some machine so my heart started bumping A LOT and veeery fast. I started caughing because of it and it hurt a lot and was very uncomfortable.
When they finally found the extra heart-path and decided to burn it, I heard some beeping sound of a machine turning on and then I started feeling burning & heat and lots of pain in my chest.
The pain was too much to handle so I tensed my whole body and they gave me afentanyl ASAP to not suffer during it.
It was going on like that, On & Off for about 2,5 - 3.0 hours.

After surgery was complete, I was put in a recovery room for about 3 hours and then I was allowed to leave.
I left at 3 PM

My daughter was born with WPW Syndrome. She was diagnosed shortly after birth, but Doctors realized something was wrong at my 34 week check up when her HR was 280 bpm. I was medicated for a week until she started to decompensated and was delivered at 35 weeks. She was on Flecainaide for 3 months and propranolol 3x daily for 18 months. She was taken off all meds and seemed to be doing great for almost a year (no SVT). Right before her 3rd birthday the SVT started and became very frequent to the point where her Cardiologist was no longer comfortable holding off on the ablation. She had the ablation, and while there were some severe and very rare complications that arose, it was successful. She is now 9 years old and the WPW is gone. She has had yearly check ups with the Cardiologist since and we have one final visit next summer until her teenage years.

I had WPWS for over 20 years and had an ablation done and have been symptom free ever since. It allowed me to finally join the military, which I would have never been able to do with the palpitations I had. If you are able to get the procedure done, it is an amazing feeling to be symptom free!

Thanks for this info. I had WPW syndrome for 18 years with attacks nearly every week at around 280 bpm. I was usually good at stopping it with breathing exercises but the only time I couldn't was when I was swimming. When I played water polo I had to get out of the water for it to stop. Does anyone know why this may be? Pressure difference?

I had a successful ablation surgery with no symptoms in 6 years.

Had WPW syndrome I discovered it at my 20's now I am 22. The symptoms are very horrible but nothing to be afraid of according to my cardiologist. Had first ablation procedure in 2015 after that the WPW reappeared on the ECG then had a second ablation procedure on 2017 and I am symptom free from those poundings,minus some extrasystoles and some normal tachycardia since I am a very anxious person. Nothing to be afraid guys for those of you that have it I know the symptoms are very horrible and the feeling is scary but there is no danger. A free WPW symptom 22 year old person

@Kuray Çevik Hello. Extrasystoles usually happen because I am an anxious person and stress more than I should, so the stress and hormones cause an extrasystole to happen. It's normal for most people. But the wpw is gone thank God. My doctor did a good job in the ablation.

When I was 10 my family was told I had this. Thanks to Quick work from the doctors I was able to go up to the biggest Hospital and get the surgery I needed in my state but unfortunately due to my age and size it was too close to my right cord so they had to freeze it with an 80% chance of it coming back. It never did, six years later I get a call from my last check up. They told me that my delta wave was back to abnormal behavior, we knew this ment its back, doctors were confused so they did a couple of exams and x-rays and found out it was a completely different one on the opposite end of my heart. Once again due too quick work for my doctors at OHSU we were able to get it scheduled within a week and had an ablation and got rid of it on January thirteenth of 2017. But now the symptoms are all happening again and I'm going in for my x-rays today hopefully I don't have it a third time because if it does OHSU has said they will pay me to experiment on me and see why do I keep getting this.

I had an SVT heart ablation to cue my Wolff Parkinson’s white in November 2021! I had this done at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. The doctors were incredible with me as I was very nervous, but I would recommend getting this produce done if you need too as it has completely changed my life and I haven’t had tachycardia symptoms since. Truly amazing what they can do these days

Got WPW, but my heart rate doesn't get up to 200-300 range, happen sometimes it peaks at 200, but regularly goes up to 150-180. The issue is that my heart still continues to pump hard, like it would normally do which makes me feel dizzy, start cold sweating and my chest becomes red. Sometimes it even occurs that i'm fainting. I guess i'm not the only one that learnt how to brake it and stop the heart from rushing with deep breaths etc... But i really do hope the ablation i'm having soon will cure me from this.

I had my ablation but with complications it was almost 8 hour surgery. I was in the hospital for 4 days and thought I was going to die. After the 4th day I was fine and haven't had a problem in 20 years.

I was diagnosed at birth with WPW as my heart rate was 302. 6 weeks later i had another episode and started projectile vomiting, my mom rushed me to the hospital and i was in svt for roughly 17 hours and almost died. I had the ablation done in 2015 at 10 years old, I’m 17 now and I have had 2 SVT episodes since my surgery and I honestly have we clue why or how.. if anyone has suggestions?????

I think I was diagnosed when I was 13 but didn't have the catheter ablation until I was 16 and actually had to get a 2nd one down when I was 18. I had multiple nods or pathways. I've gotten my heart rate nearly to 200 bpm.

I have WPW and I had the surgery when I was 11.

I'm 33 now and haven't have an episode since then, but sometimes I still feel like it might happen, as my heart does skip a beat, which usually happened before the fast heart beats occurred.

Does this happen to anyone whose had the surgery?

My baby sister was diagnosed at birth, and it was the scariest thing ever, because we didn't know at first until it was almost to late. Luckily, we have been monitoring her heartbeat and giving her medication to help, but she wouldn't be able to get the surgery until she was close to 20 years old. I have this. Yet, I regularly drink caffiene. So far, my heartrate and blood pressure have been good. But I still get lightheaded if I get up too fast, and experience a very fast heart rate when i'm stressed or very nervous. Occasionally, my heart beats quickly for no real reason and I feel it. I'm not sure if I should have this treated rightnow, scared of insurance costs.

I had an operation for wpw and In the past few days my heart is beating really really fast and a lot and a lot of chest pain. I went to the doctors they called the ambulance and they did me an ECG and it turned out that the wpw has returned. I’m going to get another operation soon

Hey Baylee, I’ve had WPW for 9 years now and they’ve attempted 3 ablations up to now and they’d no success, (which can be a good thing means it not a major case) so I just take a little tablet now in the morning and one at night. Could be worse I guess. Hope you’re adjusting well 🤙🏼

Got my catheter ablation back in 2016, my symptoms are way worse now actually. I’m always scared my heart is gonna explode. They said it’s fine, but I swear it doesn’t feel like it. I can actually FEEL it doing it now, idk.

I’m 20 and have had episodes similar to SVT for four years. I didn’t think anything of them until the started getting worse. They make me weak, paralyzed, and I have vision and hearing loss on top of pins and needles all over my limbs.
I went to a Cardiologist who chalked it up to anxiety so I saw a new one. I e had two holter monitors, one handiECG, and now I’m wearing a CardioPhone. Unfortunately none of my episodes have occurred while I’ve had a monitor so I’m PRAYING I have one and catch it with this monitor. They’ve started getting worse and closer together. I’ve been referred for ablation therapy but haven’t heard anything about that for over two months now... Canada’s healthcare is great because it’s free but it takes ages.

I want to join the military and I can’t until this is sorted out

Did you ever get an answer? I have had the exact same thing for the last 5 months. Started out of nowhere and is horrible, I go paralyzed and numb when it happens and heart feels like it's going to explode out of my head and chest. It's not anxiety. I've even broke out in petichea rash all over arms after really bad ones. I hope you see this.. and hope it's stopped for you by now

I have this currently and when I went to get a surgery to have it stopped they needed my heart rate to rise and it never did so they never did it 😂😂 I know it sounds horrible but I find amusement in the fact that finally when I was going to get rid of it, it suddenly stopped and it wouldn't happen again, up until last week.

I had WPW syndrome and had an ablation 23 years ago. I was one of the first few people in Western Australia to have it done - the doctor had just been to London for training. After a bad episode where my heartbeat was between 220 and 240 beats for 23 hours in hospital with lots of medications to normalise it, they suggested the ablation. It was brilliant! I have not had any WPW since. I have occasional "ectopic" heartbeats - which means just the odd "thump, thump, thump" feeling, but apparently they are within "normal" and lots of people get them. I wish this type of video had been available back then!

No, I haven't had to take any more medication for my heart, the ablation made it behave like a normal heart. I haven't even had to have check-ups with the doctor since about 6 months after the operation.

Hi Veronica, I remember being incredibly tired that day and feeling a bit faint the next morning (they had to sit me up for a chest xray and I struggled), but I was basically back to about 90% normal within a couple of days (the 10% was just feeling extra tired). I went home the day after the op and basically recuperated over the next few days in a very comfy armchair with a blanket and a good book. There are no stitches to heal - just a bandaid in two places where the catheters went into the veins - and no anaesthetic to get over. I don't think the extra tiredness lasted for very long - it's almost 30 years since I had it so I don't really remember!

Well i wonder if ablation surgery will save me now because im not even 18 and i have wpws and it sometimes gets me also in my country all cardiologs cant help me because it has been to recent and no one can help me. Ive been rejected from 2 operations because of wpws and the first one i got rejected from was relocating the left testicle back to its place and the other one was 3rd utensil cutting because it overgrowth 60% so basically its a rare chance i will live a long live

@A I would go to another cardiologist and have them look at your ECG to make sure. A fully successful surgery shouldn't leave you with your heart still skipping beats. In my surgery I had multiple accessory pathways and it took 8 hours to correct.

I had this done and for those going for it read this: If you are going for "Catheter Ablation" don't worry. The doctor will give you enough anesthesia to sleep during the procedure but you might wake up in the middle of it yet wouldn't feel any pain so again don't worry. Once done, they will let you sleep until you wake up by yourself then after some time, they will remove the catheter. There is no pain and no other side effects etc.

What might bother you for 1 day is back pain that you will feel cuz you are not allowed to move for one night after the procedure is done since the cut/wound needs to heal and will be covered with bandages. You will stay in the hospital for one night and then allow to go home the very next day. Just DON'T walk fast, run or use stairs for at least next 20 days. Good luck!

I was born with WPW syndrome I had an oblatione when I was 15 When I had my surgery they told me that they microwaved the nerves they told me that there was a possibility of it growing back im 24 now and recently saw my doctor and he gave me what is called an advanced EKG because I've been having some"episodes" not full blown palpitations but it feels like it's going to start but doesn't and just skips a beat. I have a question. Are there special conditions at which reentry circuits pop up since if you have the sinus rhytm the time that will take for impulse to go through av node and reach bases of ventricles will be enough for cells of kent bundle to go refrectory since they were depolorazied just after the av node was since they are affected by cardiac impulse propogated through atria, wouldn't there had to be additional pathology to WPW for reentry circuits and what would it be?

I had WPW until a week ago, I had it operated and removed with ablation, its GONE !
If your hospital do the ablations, dont wait ! its relatively easy and safe procedure.
Palpitations can be life treatining if you will be older and get any other heart problems so dont wait and remove that extra path. Technology is great nowdays.

johny peeckok - as someone who has endured WPW for a long time I can inform you what I have been told by the specialist heart hospital. They recommend that you try and avoid anything that would increase your heart rate. This doesn't mean exercise, but more lifestyle changes.

For further information, ablation surgery is day surgery. Recovery for it is about a week. I've been through the surgery myself. Sadly it was unsuccessful. I've now developed SVT and a thyroid function issue too. Ask your health care professional to check for an increased thyroid function as this can make WPW worse. It's easy to correct through medication though.

Everyone on my mum's side of the family has WPW going back at least 5 generations. Idk if I have it bc I do get heart racing episodes and I have a very high resting heart rate. But it's super hard to diagnose so idk if I will find out for a long time. My mum's episodes didn't get super bad until pregnancy

Thanks for your video. My newborn boy was diagonosed with WPW when he was 20-day-old. His heart rate reached 280 BPM when we brought him to Emergency Department. he is on medication now. could you please talk about the treatment of WPW? And the side effect of the medicine for WPW? The medicine my little boy takes now is propranolol. After taking this medicine, he has trouble sleeping. He used to sleep over 18 hours a day, but after taking propranolol, he can hardly sleep. My boy was born on Feb14, 2017 and he is only 27-day-old now. As a first-time mom, it's really heartbreaking and frustrating.

If I understood well, in AVRT we WON'T have any sympthoms on EKG like delta wave because impulse goes back up in accessory pathway, while in WPW without arrytmias or others than WPW I will see delta wave because impulse goes down this accessory pathway ?

None of the ekg waves represent contraction of the myocardium. An ekg depicts electrical activity of the heart (depolarization and repolarization) not mechanical activity.

In 2015 i found out i had WPWS on the left side of my heart and it was very scary because my heart would make me pass out or feel so dizzy that i couldnt move for hours... This one day at school i had an episode and i had a heart monitor at the time and i suddenly passed out and i had to get carried down the stairs literally fighting for my life. That day my heart beat was 312 beats per minute and i was very close to cardiac arrest. But in November on the 12 i got the surgery and i havent had a problem scince. My disease made me who i am and im proud that im still alive. Now i have my own story to tell and im proud of it because im a survivor ❤❤❤❤❤

Let me get this straight...
So you have people that are born with an extra pathway different from the normal Hiss Bundle, this extra pathway can conduct either retrograde, anterograde or both.
So the person in a normal state will have a pre excitation pattern on the ECG with a delta wave, wide complex QRS and short PR interval because the extra pathway is transmitting the normal signal generated from the Sinus node in an anterograde fashion. If for some reason there is a premature atrial contraction and the signal is blocked at the level of the extra pathway but it conducts through the normal one, and then reaches the extra pathway which is no longer in refractory period then the signal gets transmitted from the ventricle to the atrium now in a retrograde fashion, and if the same signal reaches de AV node and induces the transmission of the signal and then the same signal is transmitted retrograde through the pathway and is able to make a sustained cycle then you get an orthodromic AVRT with a narrow complex QRS, disappearance of delta wave and an inverse P wave (because it gets activated retrograde) and a normal PR.

Actually, the P wave is atrial depolarization and the PR gap is atrial contraction. The QRS complex is ventricular depolarization and the gap between that and the t wave is ventricular contraction

I have WPW syndrome , there is 2 types WPW and WPW syndrome the syndrome can be deadly if un checked it's crazy rhythms can cause sudden cardiac death . If you suspect something with your heart go to the Dr. It might save your life . I was 35 when diagnosed and it was a nightmare I've had 2 ablations done did not help a lot but did slow it down some and had to have a pacemaker put in . I have the worst kind. It started when I was a kid I told my parents my heart felt so funny like it stoped to rest for a min . Doctors just told them I had too much caffeine and cut it back and it will stop. After i I graduated from high school and nursing school and really didn't have any problems up until the age of 35 and one day I collapsed my heart felt funny before I collapsed it was it just felt really strange I can't explain it it's going really fast though I know that caused me to get severe headache I hit the ground tore myself up and I went to the emergency room they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me they thought maybe I just said I told him that was something wrong with my heart and I insisted that they do something well they did a heart monitor to no avail they couldn't find it you only accept what it wants to. And the very last time I went into the hospital with the same type of issues I demanded to see my current doctor he came in in about 15 minutes he looked over my chart and he had diagnosed me with wpw syndrome and I'm thankful to this day for that man. But please don't put any of that off go get it checked cuz it could be something deadly
