Walk Into the Sun
Syrian Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Watching time fly by
All my memories are blowing in the wind
I'm asking why we are wasting time
So take my hands as we walk into the sun

Leaving all behind
It's like a dream
Nothing really matters now
Walk into the sun
Nothing really matters now
Walk into the sun

Watching time fly by
All my troubles seem so far away
You close your eyes and say goodbye
So take my hand as we walk into the sun

Leaving all behind
It's like a dream
Nothing really matters now
Walk into the sun

Nothing really matters now
Walk into the sun

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Syrian's song, Walk Into the Sun, reflects a strong sense of nostalgia and perhaps, a desire for change. The first verse expresses the feeling of time slipping away and the precious memories that are disappearing with it. The persona is questioning the reason why they are wasting time and is inviting someone to join them as they walk towards the sun. The sun can represent various things, such as hope, happiness, or a new beginning.

The second verse seems to continue with the theme of leaving things behind as though they are in a dream. The persona acknowledges that nothing that mattered before really matters now, and they walking towards the sun. Perhaps, the sun symbolizes a metaphorical destination representing a brighter future, leaving behind the troubles of the past.

Overall, the sentiment of the song evokes a strong sense of melancholy and longing for a new, better beginning. The idea of walking into the sun suggests an optimistic outlook, but the presence of nostalgia and troubles tempers it with a hint of melancholy.

Please add more groups below that I missed!!  I grew up in the 1980's. (Yes, I'm old!). It’s sad, that corporation nerds determine who makes money for artist and genres.  I just read a great article, that confirms this. Funny, I remember back in 1982, it was the same….Radio stations never played New Order, Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Smiths, etc. that year, and before…  One Exec, at a major label changed that.   Today, the're just not promoting Synthpop…sucks for these synthpop artists, with great music, that the younger kids would love over Skrillex, etc.  Synthpop is like the old new wave genre, but more modern. Here are some groups I have discovered over the last 10 years, If you liked old New Wave you will love this: A Spell Inside, Age Zero, And One, Angels & Agony, Apoptygma Berzerk, Ashbury Heights, Assemblage 23, Auto-Auto, Backandtotheleft, Backlash, Celluloide, Beborn Beton, Beyond Obsession, Blaqk Audio, Blind Before Dawn, Blind Faith and Envy, Blutengel, Carved Souls, Céleste Noir, Channel-East, Chrom, Cinemascape, Citizen 16, Code 64, Colony 5, Conetik, Corporate Soldiers, Cosmicity, Covenant, Culture Kultur, Dark Distant Spaces, Days of Fate, De/Vision, Dekad, Deviant UK, Digitalism, DIN A Tod, Diorama, Disreflect, Dusk to Dawn, Edge of Dawn, Egoamp, Endanger, Endless Shame, Fake The Envy, Felix Marc, Fictional, Final Selection, Fischerspooner, Frozen Plasma, Gallery Of Voices, Gecko Sector, Glis, HMB, Icon of Coil, Informatik,  Interface, Iris, Kontravoid, Les Anges de la Nuit, Level 2.0, Lights of Euphoria, Lowe, Lyronian, Mental Discipline, Mesh, Michigan, Midnight Resistance, Mind.In.A.Box, Minerve, Mirrors, Mondtraeume, Monody, Monofader, Moon.74, NamNambulu, Necessary Response, Negative Format, Neuroactive, Neuropa, Neuroticfish, November Process, Null Device, Obscenity Trial, OhGr, Ostrich, Patenbrigade: Wolff, Peter Heppner, Pride and Fall, Project Pitchfork, Provision, Psyche, Pulcher Femina, Quelles Paroles, Raindancer, Razed in Black, Razorfade, Rename, Robotiko Rejekto, Rorschach Garden, Rotersand, Ruined Conflict, Rupesh Cartel, Scarlet Soho, Schiller, Seabound, Second Version, Seelennacht, Sero.Overdose, Shadow Minds, Slave Republic, Social Ambitions, Solar Fake, Solitary Experiments, Soman, Sonik Foundry, Spektralized, State Of The Union, Stochastic Theory, Substaat, Supercraft, Swarf, Syntec, Syrian, System Syn, Systemshock, Tenek, The Crüxshadows, The Echoing Green, The Dignity of Labour, The Mobile Homes, Thee Hyphen, Titans, Torul, Ultraviolet, Ultima Bleep, Underwater Pilots, Unique Strain, Unitary, Vainerz, Vanguard, Vanished, Virtual Server, Vision Talk, VNV Nation, Wave in Head, Waves Under Water, Wolfsheim, X-Divide, X-in June, XP8, Zeraphine, Zynic, !Distain.
