Sztywny Pal Azji Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Słońce góry i górale
Zakopane Zakopane
Spaceruje pani z panem
Pan to człowiek już wiekowy
Kulejący pochylony
Nogę stracił przy maszynie
Zakopane Zakopane
Słońce góry i górale
Zakopane Zakopane
Spaceruje pani z panem
Pan to człowiek już wiekowy
Kulejący pochylony
Nogę stracił przy maszynie
Odznaczenie go nie minie
Odznaczenie go nie minie
Odznaczenie go nie minie hej
Zakopane Zakopane
Słońce góry i górale
Zakopane Zakopane
Spaceruje pani z panem
Pani zaś to jego żona
Siwiejąca pomarszczona
Całe życie przy warsztacie
Nie jeździła na wakacje
Nie jeździła na wakacje
Nie jeździła na wakacje
Zakopane Zakopane
Słońce góry i górale
Zakopane Zakopane
Spaceruje pani z panem
The lyrics of Sztywny Pal Azji's song "Kurort" talk about a couple taking a walk in the mountain resort of Zakopane in Poland. The first two stanzas repeat the name of the place, followed by a description of the picturesque scenery of the mountains and the local highlanders. However, the third and fourth stanzas reveal a different side of the story. The lyrics describe an elderly man who has lost a leg while working in a machine, and he is now walking with a limp. The man also bears a medal for his service, suggesting that he has served in a war or in some other capacity. The repetition of the line "odznaczenie go nie minie" reflects the idea that although the man has gone through a lot, he has earned his medal and will always carry it with him.
In contrast, the woman with the man is his wife, who has never been on vacation in her life. The lyrics imply that she has spent her entire life working at a workshop, underlining the sacrifice and dedication of many women of her generation. The repetition of the line "nie jeździła na wakacje" emphasizes her lack of leisure time, and the poignancy of their walk becomes clearer. The song ultimately paints a picture of a man and a woman who have worked hard all their lives, made sacrifices, and yet have found moments of joy and beauty in nature's grandeur. The song's simplicity and repetition create a moving and intimate portrait of two people's lives.
